Has anyone tried to modify (make it longer and wider = larger) their wakeplate on older Moomba models (the newer Moombas have a 50% larger wakeplate)?

For what purpose? Is yours ineffective? The one on my old 2004 Mobius LS was smaller but still did job.

Mine works, but just thinking it may do a better job in shaping the wave.

No. Bigger plate won’t do anything unless you want to smash the wave down to nothing. Regardless, yourplate is already sized for the boat. These wake plates have only 1-2” max of total movement. So it doesn’t take much at all to change the attitude of the boat. Better wave shape come from more ballast and a wave shaper. From there you just need a newer boat with a hull shaped for surfing (deeper V).

Thanks; I've got plenty of ballast and a shaper, seems like I get the best wave with full ballast (4000 or more), shaper, and a good amount of list
