Board Recommendation

Hello

New owner of a Max board and new to wakesurfing.

I’m 5’7” and ~165 lbs. The boat shop recommended that I buy a P5 XB as my first board to learn on. I’ve only wake surfed a few times (didn’t let go) but did wakeboard behind our precious boat.

From what I’ve read this is a board for heavier individuals so my concern is that it’s too big me.

I was originally going to go with a H/L Shim.

Any suggestions on if I’ll be ok or should I bring it back for something else?
