View Full Version : Boat won't start

So I was skiing on Monday, after the set I got in the boat and just like that the boat won't start. I have power to everything and I even get a little click from the starter but no start. I checked the main fuse, I have even removed the starter and that engages when I put power to it. I even manually turned the engine a little, just to put my mind at ease (bad thoughts of a locked up engine were starting in my mind).

Any ideas?

I am taking it in today, I am not ready to hang it up for the year.

I thought about doing that and I will do it later today.
It didn't make sense to me that it could be the battery since I have power to everything and I have never know a battery to work one minute and the very next not?????

I will give it a try, nothing to lose. I will be both happy and pissed if it is the battery!

Thanks Ed

Chek the starter and a possible leak of the joint packs, i had that problem, the starter was rusted inside due to an constantly leak. the shaft rotation throw all the water directly to the starter. take out the starter and fix it, then don't forget to grease it time to time.
