If you have a 2007 Model boat with the 340 HP engine and ETX-CAT exhaust system there is a winterization procedure that is different than on other engines. We do not recommend fogging the engine while it is running. Oil sitting in the catalysts over the winter might have adverse effects on the catalysts.
If you want to protect the cylinders during winter storage, we recommend removing the spark plugs and applying the oil directly into the cylinders. When you start the engine in the spring, make sure to run it long enough for the catalysts to get hot and burn off any oil residue that goes through the exhaust from the cylinders.
