I'll vouch for these fins. They are a BLAST to ride. I have these and also the John John Grom fins. The blackstix are great for drive and still provide some looseness. We put them on my wife's Doomswell Sparkplug.

I wouldn't hesitate throwing down $75 on these if I didn't already have a pair. GLWS.

better is subjective. They're both great, but different. The JJG's are looser for sure. The Blackstix retain a significant improvement in loosness over the stock F2/F3/F4 fins (whichever you might be used to). But they have more speed than the JJG's. Honestly I'd be stoked to ride either.

Yeah, I've been plenty happy with the JJG's and honestly if I'd gotten the Blackstix first, I'd have been happy with them. How it played out with me is that I'd got the JJG's and the wife wanted to try them on her Doomswell Sparkplug. And of course she really liked them over the F3's or F2's. So she wanted to ride the better fins on her board when she surfed. I didn't wanna share, so I bought the wife her own set of upgraded fins. It was a good opportunity to get something different, so I got the Blackstix for set #2. We would each be happy with either set on our respective boards, but we just settled on the JJG's for me and the Blackstix for her based on the fact I liked my fins a touch looser. It didn't make sense to buy a second set of JJG's when we could get some variety.
