For sale is my 2008 Outback V w/trailer I bought new in May 2008. It currently has 215 hours on it and is in excellent condition. This is a very well maintained and cared for boat that has been garaged since day 1.

325 hp fuel injected 350. Front/middle/rear ballast with 3 reversible pumps all on timers; Acme 1847 prop; wake/surf board racks; kicker amps/12” sub/Roswell tower speakers (sounds great!); swivel seat; red LED lighting throughout; Bimini; cover; etc

It throws a great surf wave with included homemade suck gate!

Only real flaw is two small punctures in the driver seat vinyl from when my then 2.5yo son got ahold of a screwdriver (first time he saw his dad get very mad lol). I put tear-aid on it immediately and haven’t had a problem since.

Located in Wake Forest, NC (Raleigh area). $26750 or reasonable offer. Selling because I just ordered a 2018 Max!!! Craigslist ad for more details/phone number

Forgot to add: dual batteries (new in 2017) on a perko switch. Ballast is 400 front, 400 middle, 750’s in the rear. All bags are vented with check valves. Most of the ballast system was purchased new in 2017, kicker 800.5 amp and 12” compR sub new in 2017 as well.

This boat has been my baby for the last decade!!! At the end of each season I give it a deep clean and a coat of marine wax. Every year my friends comment “this thing still looks brand new!” She will make a great boat for her future owner and put many smiles on their face.

Hey Z28ke, congrats on the quick sale! Did you go through the new Southtown location for the Max? I live in Raleigh, but haven't been over there yet.

One question, what was your ballast set up for surfing? I have a homemade suck gate, but my wave does not look at good as yours. Thanks for the info!

Have fun with the max!

Thank you! Yes, the new Southtown Watersports, I got the fiancé in there on a whim and we made the deal two days later. Cameron Richardson is the moomba salesman and is very knowledgeable and professional, cool guy too. When I went in the axis dealership they couldn’t even tell me if the ballast pumps are aerator or reversible. Cameron, on the other hand, knows his stuff.

My obv setup was 750’s rear (slightly less full on off side), 400 ski locker, 650 ibs that starts popping the cushions up at approx 400 lbs, and a 400lb sac on the surfside when I didn’t have a full load of people, with a homemade suckgate of course. Speed usually around 10.5-11.5. Boat doesn’t have a wakeplate.

Look for us in the Murder Max on falls and Gaston and holler if you frequent those lakes!

How did you pump in the bowl sac?

I made a manifold to go on the front of the floor ski locker ballast bag and used a hole saw on a drill to drill holes in the floor inside the bow storage area under the corner of starboard and port seat.

It’s this one if I recall correctly

https://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-integrated-bow-sac.html

It won’t fill all the way without popping the cushions up but I’d say it’s good for 400 lbs

I could have sworn I replied to this thread already but apparently it was another thread asking a very similar question... Here's the copy-paste:

I came off the vent port of my floor bag and into the starboard rear fill/drain port of my Sumo 750. It does not drain 100% all the time, but only leaves a gallon or two - really only a pain if you're wanting to remove the bag. That hole was extremely hard to drill... not so much for the physical drilling but the mental prep...

I leave a length of hose coiled (I call it a service loop) to allow the bag to stay flexible and not put a strain on the fittings.

Nice thing is you start filling the floor bag and stop when the cushions start to bulge. About the same amount of time it takes both of my 750 rears to fill. Draining works the same way.

Here's the bag I have:

https://www.wakemakers.com/straight-line-sumo-open-bow-bag-750-2016.html

It does pop the cusions but I would estimate way more than 400lbs worth. My floor 400 plus 750 IBS fill time wise just shy of my 2 rear 750's, all off the same manifold - so I would say I'm getting at least 600lbs, maybe more. The best part of that bag is the long legs.

Thanks for all the information. Love the look of your murder max! Would you pm me that wake makers choose if/when you get it?
