We have a 2017 Mojo with the Ford Raptor 600 engine. Bought a Heater craft heater, warm wife = happy wife :)

Going to mount the heater in front of the kick board in the helm.

My question is where do I hook up the water supply and return lines on the engine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, pics would even be more appreciated!

Thanks!
Bryan

I am a little scared about how much heat a raptor 600 will put out!

I don’t know the first thing about your heater question so all I could contribute is some humor. Welcome to the group!! Lots of help on here and I bet you get some guidance.

Any reason to not run the factory heater that is part of the closed loop cooling of the engine? I don't know anything about heater craft. You may want to contact your sales person of the heater or the company for info. I am thinking you are going to be disappointed, as the raw water that comes in on these Raptor engines only cools the exhaust manifolds, not the engine itself like in the days of old. Best of luck and welcome to the forum!!

PS, I bet that 600 has some serious power!!

600?! Pretty sure it’s either a 400 or a 440, and maybe, if you’re made of money, a 575. But a 600 does not exist.

Yeah i was looking to use the closed loop system, I read that others have used it and just added more coolant. Looks like there is a connection similar to a garden hose in the rear (bow side) of the engine. There's a lot of hoses on that baby so I'm hoping someone has done this and knows which ones to use.

Thanks for the welcome messages, I'm on this site fairly often mostly reading, a post virgin until today.

I have the factory heater, the pump is located to the front of the engine to the right as you look at it from accessing under the transmission cover. I will post up a photo the next time I'm on the boat if no one else has. Not sure of all the plumbing involved or wear that hose comes from, but I'll take a look.

Where do you mostly boat up there with a wake boat? I grew up over in Erie.

Nice. I've heard of it. Pretty sure it's on the other side of Scranton.

You guys need heaters up there to make a longer season. It was a long cold winter. Starting to get nice now . . .

I found 2 stickers under the engine cover “to heater” and “from heater” on 2 inlets!! I’ll see if I can attach a pic.
