I know a few of you guys have GatorStep installed in your boats. If you have pics could you post them up? Trying to show the wife what it would look like in our Mojo. Thanks!

I’m almost to that point! She is telling me it looks to industrial! Whatever that means [emoji23][emoji23]!

Just tell her, her life will be easier... she won’t have to vacuum the crumbs from the sandwiches she makes in the kitchen, out of the carpet in the boat!

Note: This post is for amusement purposes only and should not be taken as actual advise!

Didn’t mean to kill your thread with my joke [emoji51]

If your still searching for pics, there’s a pretty good post with tons of pictures on the Facebook group.

Check dealers. Many of the 2018 mojo’s are coming with it. And you might can get a good deal since measurements are already taken and kit is ready to go.

Thanks David! Did you order yours through Gator Step directly? I called them and woman I talked to said that I could not have it say Moomba or use that font. I don’t know if she was relaying bad info.

We went through our dealer and we had issues with the font and logo too. I think our dealer has to get approval from SC to use it.

I went through the same thing at first. Second call to Gator Step, I luckily got a guy who was more helpful. He said all I needed to do was email SC, request the rights to use the logo and provide the email during purchase. Apparently this is no big deal for SC and is a daily request.

Once ordered, they will send out a proof with logo, size, layout, etc for you to review before finalizing everything.

So that’s actually where my help/experience stops haha.

I emailed moombainfo@, help@ and customerservice@ and they all were kicked back to me. The CS and info emails are actually on their sites too so go figure.

I’ve been meaning to dig into it again but have been distracted with LED lighting lately.

Hot enough to be uncomfortable. We keep a large plastic cup on the boat used to pour water on it whenever it gets too hot.

The carpet gets hot too. I have the carpet and if it sits in the sun it will get to where I can’t walk on it.

I know everyone digs the non skid but there is absolutely a difference in heat. Keeping a cup for water like Langston mentioned seems to be an easy enough fix, though.

I'm probably the odd man out with carpet and no real desire to switch.

The grey non-skid flooring in my Supra does not get hot enough to need a cup of water...not sure if Supra uses Gatorstep or Sea Deck, but we dont need a cup of water in the boat.

Yea, I've never noticed my hydroturf getting very hot.

Sea dek. And I agree it was not that bad.

This might be the season I find a thermo temp gauge and actually test these materials in direct sun. Some say it don't get hot and others say yes, my results are everything has gotten hot for us and you find a way around it.

I bet the water (in and out of the boat) makes a difference.

They day I recall it being WAY hot was a day we hadn't gotten in/out of the boat.

I have carpet and prefer it. We have small kids and we got in a boat he dealer before we ordered ours and it was hard on the legs and feet if they were playing on he floor. If it didn’t have groves cut in it and was completely flat it may be different.

This does not compute. Never had such a day since day 1 of break-in.
