I saw that in towns with a population of 40,000 or less are no longer required to have full service stations. The reactions from Oregonians online is hilarious and embarrassing for the human race all at the same time lol. For those Oregonians on here, there is a black button at the bottom of the gas cap you must press to open it.

What about Sonic?

Full service is almost non-existent here.

These people’s reactions are awesome and I’m sorry, if a senior is not capable of pumping gas then they probably shouldn’t be driving

Even if I wanted to pay for the convenience, I don't know where I would find a full service station in CO. Maybe if I was driving my DeLorean...

cathy dahl's post above: so you're afraid to get out of the car with transients but it's ok for some 18 year old girl to be working there pumping gas???

rip the band aid off and get rid of it.

and I don't tip at sonic due to not ever eating there..... in n out ftw!!!!!

Funny thing is that it's ONLY in rural areas in order to allow people to get gas at night.

I remember being in mild panic one Christmas when driving home from Mt Hood and having most all the gas stations closed with their pumps turned off. Living across the river, we're like the other 48 states where you have gas stations that are open 24/7.

For work I travel all over the US. It’s hard for me to get used to states like NJ where they pump your gas.

The scene usually goes like this, trying to get to the airport to get home on Thursday afternoon, running late, needing to gas the rental car up before returning it.

I find the closest service station, jump out of the car, and get ready to start pumping my own gas.

Dude from the service station shows up and asks: “hey what the f%#> are you doing?”

Then I recall these Idiot Laws.

We have very few full stations in Ny maybe 1 to 2 %. American made kwik fill is one so I go there and yes I tip them if there are attentive

I would imagine full service Oregon stations are priced higher that self serv

I don’t think I’ve even seen a full service station except in movies. Never seen anyone so incompetent that they couldn’t pump gas either lol. I’ve been doing it since I was like 10.

And to think that full service in Oregon is cheaper than self service in Washington. When WA gets a carbon tax is when I leave this state.

You forgot to add in that the guy then takes 10 minutes to fill up your tank because he couldn't work any slower if he tried. Then when its the next persons turn for gas they have to wait for him to check Facebook before proceeding.

Because WA's gas taxes are 18 cents higher than OR's. In fact, #2 in the nation for gas taxes. Yeah us! :-/

But at least we take care of our roads...

I always hated that in OR. I got in more trouble more times for pumping my own gas. The thing is though most places won’t fill your boat or your diesel so with that I was happy.

Don’t confuse yourself with OR and Full Service. All they do is pump the gas. They don’t even stay there. They just put it in the car and pull it out.

You still have to get out and pay at most places.

Full service in the term is checking the oil, washer fluid, washing the windshield.

OR actually started this program to give out more jobs, now OR is just so used to being catered to they are crying like a bunch of liberals lol

Claudia gripes about paying moving her Diesel in GA it’s cold out or hot out lol I prefer to do it myself.

I usually bring a 6 pack to down while it's filling. It does take an hour after all.

I just did a trip to Eugene Oregon a couple days ago. The subway we ate lunch at was full of people just crying about it.
I can remember having to steal a ladder off the side of someone's hangar in nowhere Mississippi to fill the wing tanks on the King Air I was flying in the middle of the night. Lol
God forbid you pump your gas in a car...

Eugene is special indeed. They have a tax on using paper grocery bags.
