Put a deposit on a 18 Craz. Has bow speakers with amp and amp & wired for tower (no speakers) from factory. Have speakers from dealer built in to deal. Down to 2 choices: Roswell R1 8" or Wet Sounds Rev 10. Want it to sound good, but do not need to be centerpiece of lake by any means. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

You are comparing an 8" to a 10". Thats like comparing a 20ft boat to a 24ft boat in regards to interior room. Larger speaker always has the advantage. More surface area yields greater output and deeper mid-bass then a smaller speaker. I have not yet demo'd the R1 8 in a tower pod. Placing an infinite-baffle in-boat speaker on a small pod typically reduces the mid-bass a little.

The Rev 10 is where I was 1st going but not in stock. They have the R1 8" in stock and ready. Good looking speaker, but sound is more important. I guess I should ask if anybody has an opinion on the Roswell R1 8" Tower and not necessarily a comparison. Thanks

I’d wait for the rev10’s to be back in stock as it’s pretty much the King and HLCD.
the R1 8” is just ok like the rest of the line by Roswell in my opinion. It’s like a Exile or Kicker in a pod. The JL 8.8 is designed for the pod if you really want a coax. The WetSounds Icon8 is another top contender in the coaxial tower speaker world, over Roswell..
My opinion of course.

Unless JL built a new 8.8 recently, it wa not a T version like the 7.7 tower pod version. Its the same 8.8 as the in-boat and it shows. The 1.25" tweeter is a little dominant.

Rev10 without question! If it is not in stock it is definitely worth the wait. You can also look at other websites to order it from if your local dealer is out of stock. I got my stuff from earmark audio in Plano, TX, super helpful bunch.

Rev10. Wait is worth it. Easy.

Don't second guess this. Rev10 is right answer.

Are you going with 2 or 4 speakers on the tower? Would love to see where you mount them especially if you are going with 4.

I mounted two in the stock location and the other two where the stock hole is for the speaker wire.

All with the standard tower bar clamps?

What is your other amp going to be? I would go with the Rev 10 all day and make sure to get everything properly tuned. You can always tune and turn a speaker down, you can't tune one up, and you'll never ask yourself "what if".

You’ll need a bigger amp for the rev 10 s , I like be the look of 4 speakers pods. So I would go with four

So what amp would be OEM in a 2018 moomba? Seems odd thats fitted with an amp, yet no tower pods.

Although I would say that the Rev-10 deserve a ton of power to push them to their full potential. Both speaker options the OP if faced with, would be driven with this same amp, so it pretty much levels the field so to speak. With the same wattage, the larger speaker will yield more output and deeper mid-bass.

I ordered our Mojo with the adapters for the rev10s from skiers choice. That allowed me to mount one pair in the factory location. The 2nd Pair is on the tower close bar using clamps.

Our 2017 Mojo has the bow speakers + amp options. The amp was like a 200 watt 4 channel kicker.
