Is the wakemaker system the cheapest way out for an automated system? I'm getting tired of the manual tabs.

Unless you want to make some “goose slappers” aka fake surf gates. You can get that done for $1000 with automation.

Is it Flow 2.0 that's $1k?

No, that will run you closer to what the wakemakers product runs.

The wakemakers system is not as good as the stick on gates..we put it in my buddies CLV and it just doesn't come close to the stick on gate. So he doesn't even use the gosurfassist system anymore. Suck, because it was very expensive.

This certainly depends on the running surface. Suck gates do not work well on the Mojo but work great on LSV and Outback. Go surf assist works fantastic on the Mojo.

That's the problem., I don't get a big enough surf with the manual tabs or the suck gate. I read in the other thread for the Autoflow that they were having good success with it. What is surf assist?

It is the bolt on automated system that Wakemakers sells. Around $3-4K and again, not worth it IMHO

Go surf assist absolutely will work well, but you absolutely have to have enough weight. If you don’t have a crap ton of weight it is not going to work. If you do, the wave is very very strong.

Suck Gates work very well also. Eventually, with enough weight to go surf assist wave will be better. But at weights leading up to that point, the suck gate wave will seem to be better.

Lots and lots of people seem to have their go surf assist tabs running too deep. That makes a mellow wave. The more shallow like closer to 10° you run them the steeper and stronger the wave gets.

Nope. Homemade surf gates aka “goose slappers.” Think Malibu surf gate copy.

I read the other thread about manual Surfgate in General chat, how about I ask it like this.

I have a 2015 Mojo, can you get a killer wave with manual tabs if I add more weight? I'm going to upgrade to the 1100 lb bags in the rear lockers but is that enough weight? I just didn't feel alot of push on the stock setup.

Yep I bet you can. More weight, list to surf side a bit.

Charlie, contact me for help setting up your boat. I have a 15 Mojo with the manual tabs and get a nice wave every time. There are also other factors that no one on here has addressed or asked. For example, is your speed correct, what board are you using and length, how much do you weigh, what setting are you using, how much weight and where is it placed, regular or goofy side.....you get the idea. I am running #1100s rear, factory ibs, and combination of people, water ballast and steal shot to the surf side of around 7-800 pounds. My buddy can ride his slinghshot gnarwal way back on the regular side, and he's around 270 pounds, so that gives you an idea of what you can do.

I will be more than happy to get you dialed in, save your money, or spend some on ballast. I didn't get a good wave either until the extra ballast and some list to the surf side, but the list needs to be added weight, not just having less water in the off side...I may have some photos on here, not sure.
