replacement radio

I have an 04 mobius with the factory radio, it's a kenwood KDC-MP225MR. My cd player quit working and I need to replace it. Is the remote by the driver wired into the head unit? The 225 is no longer available, what is the model number they are putting in the newer boats? I did a search on here and saw a few posts about it but I can't get the replacement that was mentioned.

Anyone knows what type of radio is used in the 2007 models? If they are no longer in stock, what will they use now?

And why they use the AEWARE remote controles instead of the original kenwood remotes?
And anyone got a picture of an transom remote?
