Made a video winterizing today. There used to be a great thread on here that lost the pictures when Photobucket stopped 3rd party hosting. This was on an Assault 325. May work for 340 also, but not familiar with it first hand.

Yes sir... I've got a buddy down in Hutch. I pulled the boat down to the muddy waters of Cheney one day. From that day forward I vowed to go to Table Rock any time I towed that far lol.

Yup... Cheney is where we go. It's not bad.

Given the time of year it is.... bump

Would these procedures apply to the Indmar Assault 330 Cat in a '14 Mojo? If not are there any other online resources? The owners manual basically says take your boat to a dealer to winterize. :-(

Also is there an alternative method where you just allow the engine to suck in pink anti-freeze???

Thanks!

Thanks!Yes, they are both 5.7L motors.
If you had a Ford Raptor, it would be all different.

Online - nope. This is one of the better places to learn. Some of the other wake boats used the same motors back then. They have forums.

Pretty easy.

There are some threads about filling you block with antifreeze. How to. Try the search.

It's important not to just run anti-freeze the system, see the stuff coming out of the exhaust, and call it complete. Big no no.

You need to drain all the water first, then plumb the anti-freeze. I recall reading about it takes 5-8 gallons.

Method 1 drains all the water and leave it.

Method 2 drains all the water and then fills with anti-freeze.

I've done #1 for years

Thanks for the replies and have abandoned the simple just run with the pink stuff.

Did some more searching and came across this from Indmar: https://indmar.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/2012-2014-GM-Based-Models.pdf

Just did my 2014 Mojo yesterday with a 330 assault. The Indmar manual had this pic for the hose that connects the manifolds, but I can't find it on mine. There were two hoses coming off the front of each manifold that went to a T-valve that had a 3rd drain hose, near V drive. This was all I could find coming off the manifolds. Am I missing something? Just got the boat this summer, so first time doing winterization, don't wont to miss something.

Same for me. No quick connect, just a T.

One more tip for winterization. I spray all my vinyl, cup holders, areas under seats / lockers with a mildew blocker before buttoning up the boat.

The hose that comes off the T goes to the dripless seal. At least it did on my 09. Its not a good setup as hot water is going to the dripless shaft seal ( causing dripless housing expansion and dripless to become a drippy shaft seal.) This in turn makes the exhaust self draining iirc. I cut mine put a ball valve on it for draining and re routed the dripless cooling off the tranny cooler for cold water.
