Looked on Wakemakers to find what rear ballast bags I can upgrade to and didn't see anything listed for 2017 SA.
Has anyone upgraded their rear bags and if so which ones did you go with?
I already have 500 lbs of lead 250 underneath each rear ballast bag. I would like to move that up to the nose and replace the stock rear bags with bigger ones.
Thanks for the information.

In my 13 SA I just installed the MB Tomcat 24 bag, it's the largest bag on their site. Even if it does not fill full should still be more than the 1,000 I had

I can confirm Enzo bags fit and fill 99% full.

You really do not need that extra nose weight. These things like rear to mid weight.

They will but you will lose all storage.

I was told by my dealer that these new boats love nose weight. That and my wave now is really tall, but a little on the short side...I wanted to lengthen it some and firm it up a little.

Yea, if you go Enzo you'll need some bow weight. On the lake test, The auto wake every now and then while surfing kept popping up saying it couldn't transfer anymore, shift people to the nose. That was with 3 in the boat, 1 surfing.

That could be true on the SA. Not so on the SE. My optimal surf setup is 60% front for tallest and longest wave. I also have 700lbs of lead in the rear plus I throw a 1000lbs bag on the floor if it's just the 3 of us.

I currently do 100% front/center, 100% port, 60%-70% starboard, with 250 lbs of lead under both the port and starboard ballast bags. We only have 1 person that surfs goofy side and I flip the exact percentages and I swear my goofy wave is better than my port side wave.

I run 100% port 80% starboard and 60% front. Surf tab setting at 50 speed at 11.1 to 11.5 700lbs lead spread evenly in the rear and occasionally 1000lbs bag on the floor. Surf wave is stupid big and long. Major push all the way back and super clean. The heavier I am the faster I run.

We fill the three bags, add a suck gate and my goofy side is better. Do you think it's prop rotation that causes it? It even has a cool little tube!

I designed custom bags for our 16 SA with Wakemakers. Just ask them as they have the cad drawings and can/will make you a set.

I believe we have the same/similar hulls. Yes, I'd say prop direction, possibly even alignment of the rudder. Sometimes makes me wish I were better surfing the dark side (aka goofy).

I put the same bags I'm my 17 Pro. They work very well!
