Lake Billy Chinook

I will be traveling down to lake billy chinook on Saturday Sept. 9th and staying until Sunday Sept. 10th at Cove Palisades state park in the Desutes Campground. I will be taking my 06' Outback and tent camping. If any of you have been here before all information would be greatly appreciated, I have already reserved the camp site, thanks.

I traveled through once and checked out the camping but didn't have a boat to check out the lake. The campground is up the road from the launch about a 1/4 mile and I saw most if not all people trailer their boat to the campground each day. Looked like a nice campground with lots of shade. Should be a good time to go as September has nice air temps, water temps and not many people.
