Fresh Water Strainer Install

My service tech recommended installing a fresh water strainer for next season on my 2016 Mondo.
Does anyone have insight on where to purchase one from? Level of difficulty? Thanks in advance.

Look for the Indmar Sea Strainer Flush Pro. There are other threads on here with links. It's pricey but oh well, I couldn't find anything else much better. Bake's had the best price. I just bought and plan to install before winterize.

If you don't need a flush port, there are much cheaper options. I installed this on our boat this summer. It exactly the same as the Sherwood strainer, without the Sherwood name and about $15-25 cheaper. I lucked out and found it on ebay for $35 shipped to me:

Any good farm or industrial supply store will have them in stock.

Very True....sorry I assumed OP was wanting ability provide water from hose for running engine on the trailer....but more likely to prevent debris. Cheaper options for sure.
