So we sold the SE to have a new SL built in December. Same colors of course as I have had on my boats for 12 years, It's rough downsizing. ;) All for a In floor cooler!!
Went with the 550 this time to see if there is a difference as we weight our boat well for the biggest wave possible with very few people. Prolly gonna add sacs to the rear instead of lead this time, if it's not ridiculous to do.

You will enjoy the SL and the 550. Can't say it's going to seem that much smaller, the SL is really well laid out and the sub floor ballast is MONEY. Can't wait to see it.

I doubt the 1' difference is going to be noticed much as the boat is so much deeper and might have more boat in the water based off the hull design. I love the SL but I can see a child closing floor over the cooler on someones toe. The kids did that in the old XLV but they were only 6 and 8 then and older now.

Interesting. We were almost positive the SL would be for us, even had the builder done and ready. We spent some time in one and came home and built an SE....

It is a fantastic boat, make no mistake about it, but the SE is still the boat for us.

It's loosing the rear seats I might be bummed about I think. Here is the design, black metal flake of course again.

Here is an outside question. Why in the world are all these triple axle trailers out there?

SL looks like an incredible boat. We absolutely adore our SE. Supra impresses me.

Why ballast bag instead of lead - b/c you can drain the ballast and get the weight out of the boat?

I have not been on the SL, but I doubt you will be hurting for storage space. So ballast bags probably would not take up much room.

Nice, the 550!

Here is one that is worst. There was a thread on Wake World about someone stealing 4 G23 in Canada.
Check out the black/green boat and trailer. Yikes - 200k for that.

Glad to see someone trying the SL... it's for sure gonna be a nasty ride! I was set for one, right up until I saw the price tag lol!
We lake tested the SA today, putting a deposit down tomorrow. I leave on a 9 day trip Sunday.
How in the world are you gonna wait til December?!?

You are going to be very happy that you choose the SA...you made the right choice!!

Too much green on the rims for me and it will be a dual axle, triple is overkill and for show only. Plus my emblems will be chrome not black

Exactly, to get all the weight out of the boat instead of driving around 900 pounds in the rear, because that's where it's needed. I wasn't hurting for storage in the SE either with all the bags and Lead. The sub floor ballast is gonna be nice though!

Season is almost over here and saves me on storage fees ;) prolly see it first week of January which gives me time to do my tweaks to it for the boat show that's here in February. Then I will drool until the ice melts!!

I heard the boat that I posted had lights in the wheels somewhere. Anybody have a picture of this?

A lot of the boat show boats get lights in the wheels one way or another to draw attentions to the booths. Can't say I have see a factory option for lighting for wheels. If done right and certain times I think it would be fine for lights around the wheels somewhere.
