Hey Fellas,

Quick Question...... Winterizing my boat today. Purchased Rotella T4 instead of the regular T. Was looking online and noticed that regular T has been upgraded to the T4? Any concern about putting it in the boat?

Seems to meet all the specs to my knowledge, but just wondering if I bought the wrong stuff.

Richard.

There is already a thread in this on the 'Bucrew forum, one if the spec's either changed or was dropped vs the old Rotella. I haven't fully read the thread yet but will be soon since it is almost time for an oil change/winterization in next few weeks.

I was on the shell website and the old rotella T does not exist anymore. Seems to be the new version of the oil with some additional features.

Here is an option listed in the thread that supposedly meets the required standards:

The T4 meets or exceeds all requirements. I checked when I did my mid season oil change.

I should clarify - met the requirements for my 07 as stated in the manual.

YMMV in the newer boats.

Awesome. Thanks Poison. Nice new oil in my 07 LSV. Now I have to wait 8 months to use it again[emoji35][emoji35]

Ya. Short season and it sucks that the white stuff is not far off. On the flip side, the mountains will be calling for some downhill skiing!! Rocky Mountains are a good place to play for a season....
