View Full Version : Seal coming off
Hello I just purchased a 2017 craz and it seems like a seal to the hull is coming off, I just went ahead and decided to cut it. Was that a bad idea and what is the purpose of this being on the boat. I don't know if that is a bad idea or not, but that bump rail is where the top and bottom halves of the boat join.

Dealer will fix under warranty. Happens all the time. I think every boat I have had needed a touch up of silicone.

I had the same issue on my Craz. The dealer told me it was squeeze out from the factory and wouldn't affect anything.

Just extra silicone, you can rub it off or use a sharp plastic blade to remove it.
That's all the dealer is going to do.

These guys are probably right. However, mine reapplied silicone.

Had this happen to my 2013, 2 years ago! Boat was taking on water in same spot from water shooting up in there into port locker because I couldn't tell until I pulled sidewall carpet back. Kept thinking I had a hole underneath my boat. Sadly Skiers Choice did not cover this under warranty after fighting with them for hours on phone at my local Marina. Even the service techs were appalled they wouldn't warranty it. So Toblers Marina Stepped up and did it for me free and I just paid for parts.
