When I am surfing or in boat and the surfer falls down in water and I turn to pick the person up I get a skunk like smell for few seconds (like 10-15 seconds) and then its gone. I think the smell maybe stronger on the starboard (R) side of the boat where the tank is located. I am not dreaming it as others have said so too.
Is this a normal exhaust from the boat? When I finish my ride and open up the stern engine compartment - nothing just clean smell.

No check engine light and coolant temp is normal.

Do I need to worry about this or just ignore it?

Does the dude in the back seat have the munchies?

LMFAO! I'm sure he's referring to a different kind of skunk smell

I am pretty sure you are getting the fumes from the exhaust, possibly turning back into the fumes that you are not really smelling while going forward.

Sounds like it is time to order up that FAE.

does it smell like rotten eggs/sulfer? If so it could be a bad battery. I had the same thing happen and would get a random smell every now and then of rotten eggs and i could not figure it out for the life of me until i tracked it down to a batter. Just a thought

Exactly, that's exhaust fumes your smelling and you can bet your surfer is getting it way worse but prolly can't smell it from the air moving.

This is why we Run FAE even though we have CATs on the Mojo.

The CATs help but they don't block carbon monoxide and other dangerous contaminates
