I walked through the 2018 SA at my local dealer this Saturday.

Biggest design change is the tower is totally different and it is a power tower now that lowers and raises from a button up underneath the tower.

The windshield is a different design, especially the sides and how it cuts back into the gunnels. I also want to say it is a flat black instead of the polished metal that the 2017s are.

It also comes with a Supra FAE on it that I am hoping is an option that I can order and add to my 2017.

It still has the ballast bags in front and rear lockers, so no all sub-floor ballast.

It does have the new auto-surf with amplitude.

Tower, FAE and windshield are pretty cool looking, but nothing that made me have total boat envy over the 2017. My sales guy did mention that the list price on the 2018 SA has gone up substantially!

In a nutshell, what does the "amplitude" function do for the autosurf? Personally on my Craz, I only use the Autoflow for wakeboarding, as in surf mode it doesn't help with the surf wave, it diminishes it.

Surprise, Surprise.

The pricing change is reflective of the optional Swell Surf System going Standard and a few other optional items that were ordered on almost every boat, going standard as well. Net pricing is around 2 to 3 % depending on model. Just passing along. :)

Are we officially 12 months away from a major release?

Does the new model come with a surf remote?

I'm still not sold on the remotes since always being the driver and last thing I need is somebody controlling the boat while riding. Also I wonder how many remotes have been lost so far.

I love them, it make watching surfing so much more fun. I am more likely to do transfers if I have a remote, instead always trying to wave at the driver and distracting them.

Not sure on the remote but I did see the 18 SA and they made a couple cool changes.
