I am the original owner of a 1999 Kanga (the only blue metal flake one on the planet!) with the Indmar Assault 325hp 5.7L MPFI engine. It sputtered progressively worse until it stalled and would not restart this afternoon. It acted like it ran out of fuel. We added 5 gal of gas (after walking two miles back to the truck) and it did nothing. So, I then changed the fuel filter and the water/fuel separator. Still nothing. I could hear the original Carter fuel pump (which hangs off the drivers side front of the engine by the water/fuel separator) cycling when I turned the key, so I disconnected both fuel lines from it and they are dry. Should fuel be dumping out of the hose going into the fuel pump from the tank? Is there another fuel pump inside the aluminum gas tank (under the back seat) that could be smoked? Any idea what could be wrong with these symptoms? Thank you!!!
