Torn board rack bungee strap

Hey everyone the strap that holds on metal hook on my board rack bungee cord ripped. Now I have no way to secure the equipment in that board rack.

Does anyone know of a good way to have that replaced? Looks like the bungee cord is permanently attached to the metal board rack so I'm not quite sure how to replace just the cord.

I have used a bungee cord with hooks in a pinch before. You can go to and outdoor store such as REI and buy shock cord to fix it. It should not be permanent to the rack, they had to feed it on there some how.

Pick does help...I think once before I found the shock cord tied in knots after you take the tines off...

I think Trayson posted that you can buy the shock cord by the foot at Home Depot and just replace the cord.

Sorry it took some time for me to get a picture uploaded.

Is there a way I can replace the entire strap? As you can see it is not the bungee that is torn rather than the strap that holds on the metal hook. I would like it to be something as good as the original.
