View Full Version : Let's Have Some Love for Your LSV!

Lots of newer models and new ones coming out. However, in another thread a few of us were talking about how much we love the LSV and how great a value it was and remains. This thread is to say why you love your LSV, any great mods that make you like it more and show off your best photos of the LSV and riding behind it. Let's here it for one of the best "do everything" boats ever made in this category!

My 2008 I bought new in 2010 came loaded up-- but suckgate and upgraded ballast, hydroturf floor and Exile tunes make it perfect.

We ski and wakeboard a little bit but mostly spend our time wakesurfing till the sun sets.

We bought ours new in 2007 and it to came loaded. We do everything behind it - ski, wakeboard, surf, kneeboard and yes, tube. Even today, I believe it's the best all around boat out there. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170719/66a7e21944c08ca1c39613fabeefae6d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170719/e090f64a854ee1b250900dc61c23e5a1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170719/0bc2a4aedbbedf0b56c10297b82f4a5f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170719/aefb47f14a1adea1d65d0cd6c6883f3c.jpg

Bought my '07 in '14 sight unseen (shipped from IA to NH), mostly so I could surf. It was a big source of controversy in my house ("the boat we have is fine"). First ride in it my wife says "you were right, this was worth it." [not words we often hear, esp when it comes to toys!!!]

Just hit 300hrs and have done all the popular mods (dual battery, more ballast, pumps, swim platform, suckg8, prop, came w FAE), and am pretty damn happy w the wave!

Proud owner of a 2014 LSV, which for our family is equal parts ski machine, surf machine, and cocktail cruiser .... with a little tubing on the side :). The LSV literally does it all, with style

That's the z5 sports rack. It is what I had on my lsv. Best thing ever and gave me serious pause in trading the lsv. Almost tried to keep it for the new boat, but it wasn't going to fit.

$2k Bimini though...

I added manual flow for this year. It works great. I also have a suck gate when I really wanna get a huge wave for doubles.

I run 1100s, factory front and added ibs. Never all full though. My 330 doesn't like it. Lol but with 80/50 offset and 100 front my wake is pretty awesome. I run goofy too and haven't been on another boat as clean as mine for my side. Everyone else rides regular.

Me on boat, flow at 2 and a homemade gate as far back as it would go. 1100's in rear, full and about 80% on non surf side, front as full as it'll go with the surf edition sac. But always a slight turn to the right. (We are both goofy)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170728/3ebd1543bf5b7fb9e41583fff240f0ec.jpg

I never deploy flow with my homemade suck gate. I usually fill my 1100s about 80/50 % heavier side being surf side and front sack and ibs full. My wave is amazing and can go straight or turn opposite if needed at end of lake and still have a good wave. I use flow for kids or good skim action.

Here's suck gate and then flow below with my son. When he rides I only put bags at about 70/40 and front 70%.
Suck gate only 80/50/100

Hey Everyone,

Just wondering what angle you are running for your suck gate. Just bought an aluminum handle (plastic one fell off every time). Hoping this model will work better.
I have a 07 LSV.

You find the suckgate makes a better wave than the flow?

Thanks

Kidder522
08-09-2017, 11:30 AM
My suckgate made a huge difference in the wave on the weekend. much cleaner, but noticed the push was a bit different. I have to find out how to ride this new wave!!! I ran surf side 800 full, non surf side 400 full and ski locker 400 full. I also put some of the kids in the front, but I don't think they were enough weight. The stainless handle didn't even move. Had it on for about an hour and no problems at all. I put my angle around 70. I think I am going to spend some time dialing this wave in, as doing it on the fly was a bit tough.

Question though.... with the suck gate, should I be balanced in weight in the back, or listed like I had it. If anything, I can upgrade the non surf side to an 800 to make it even.

Thanks everyone for your tips and insight.

Richard.

kaneboats

It should be listed a little bit, even with the gate. Somewhere around 70-80% in the off side is usually about right.
