I'm going to have an old "Moomba" advertising sign available for free.

Came from inside of the original Orlando Moomba dealership. About 8 feet long and 18" wide. Has the old Roo and raised Boomerang style letters.

I'll give it to anyone willing to come get it or deal with having it shipped.

"I'll give it to anyone willing to come get it or deal with having it shipped. "

if no one wants it, it's gonna get trashed - which is a shame.

Can I email you a shipping label? I would love to have that for my garage!

Or I'll send you a tube to roll it up and put it in with a return label?

Just let me know what carrier is easiest and I'll ship it tomorrow

sure, send me a shipping label - maybe it doesn't need a box. I can just slap a prepaid ups label on the thing and hope for the best

Guestimate of size 2' x 8' x 2". Weight about 10 lbs.

It's rigid, ain't gonna roll this thing

Ok perfect, pm me your address so I know where it's coming from and your email address so I can email the label. Or you can email me at [email protected]. Thank you!

I didn't honestly think you were being 100 % serious and I wasn't either.

Before you shell out any $$ for a UPS label, please contact them to see if they will ship this without being boxed up - and if they will, I will not in any anyway guarantee you, that you will receive it with all the letters still on the thing. coming from 34711.

How about this for an idea - isn't there going to be a Moomba gathering up near Alabama in August? Maybe you could get a group of people willing to transport the thing for you.

LMAO. I bet "deal with having it shipped" means a lot more than you thought, z28ke.

KG's right...."deal with it" means paying to have some store box it up and ship it to you.

or arrange to have it transported to you with multiple drivers involved - -like they do when people rescue dogs.

You are gonna need an uber to pick it up from Ed's place and get it to the store that is boxing it up.

LOL! Nah, I can run it over to the store.

Lol. Yea I ASSumed it was a banner.

UPS quoted $146 shipping since its gets the "large package surcharge". I wish I was given that option in other areas, would have gladly paid that over the "average package" [emoji38]

Hopefully you can find someone local that can use it. It would have looked killer in my garage!

I agree - it would look awesome in that garage.

Don't give up on the multi driver transport idea - ya never know what you can get until you ask!!

People are planning to meet at Lake Martin, Al in early August.

I can start the journey by taking it as far as Deltona, Fl - during the week.

Eventually somebody is going to plan to drive to Disney.

My daughter lives near Clermont and comes here about every 4-5 weeks. I should be headed to Hilton Head in the next 6 weeks or so.

The wreath is not included. to estimate the size of this thing - the outer screws on the circuit breaker panel are 16" apart.

The letters are raised about 1" away from the purple wave.

It would be awkward to carry in a small car. If it's rigid you almost need a pickup or something.

I brought it home from the dealer inside the boat.

you should have given to the guy that bought your boat, kinda as an offering for the hr meter not working

kaneboats

Shoot, I would have given the guy a wake kite or something.

Ed_Geary

I asked him if he wanted the sign, he thought about for a second and said "nah".

He got everything boating related that I could give him - wakeboards, knee boards, 5 surfboards, 2 spare props, prop puller kit, all kinds of ropes, fake a lake, life jackets, spare tire, extra stereo amp, etc.

And I knocked off $100 for the hour meter not working.

Never heard back from the guy who bought that wake kite - probably killed himself using it. I never even tried it.

That was me. I was looking for moomba paraphernalia for my boat house. That's a damn cool sign. Too bad it's a small fortune to ship. Especially to Canada.

Found a new owner for the sign. One of the boat repair businesses in Clermont is gonna hang it in their shop.

I still have the water skis and an old 6 foot ocean surf board to give away! Free!

Well this turned out even better than a scripted story.

Someone contacted me today to see if the sign was available because their young nephew wanted the sign for his "cool" bedroom.

I gave her the sign thinking that was a good idea.

30 minutes later, I got a note telling me that the young nephew's dad owns a Mobius!!

Dad and son are totally thrilled.
