There has to be a few skiers on this site :)

This is me rounding 5 ball at 32 off. I was late but ran the pass.

Thanks for posting the pic. Lookin' good! Glad you have a nice place to play. How many days a year are you on the water? Do you ever shut down and stay off the water for a couple of weeks or a month? Thinking that perhaps where you are located in Texas you can make this truly a year round sport.

Awesome shot, and great skiing! Skiing is my preference behind the boat any day the water is calm. I only free ski, but I've been doing it every season since I was about 8 or so... it's in my blood.

I just need to train my kids to take better pictures. ;)

Sweet pic. Reminds me of learning in my teens.

Probably more skiers on the Supra forum. Sure there are some old-school players over here.

I have skied year round since moving here with the exception of last winter. I needed to take a break for 2 months to recover from an injury (non skiing related).
It helped me refocus on what I needed to to improve on and the results are speaking for themselves.

The photo is actually a still shot from a video a buddy sent me.

Ok that picture is freaking me out! It looks like that is the bow of the boat. LOL I'm sure it is the angle or something weird but I keep looking at it and laughing.

About all I can say is the bow and stern have some similarities with one being the pointy end.

Here's a few of me slicing behind the "other" boat. I still have the outback V- will gladly ski behind it in open water although it spent a lot of time pulling the 4 person tube this year.

skiyaker - Shoulders back. Handle down low, near the hip. Legs absorbing the wake bump. Looking good! - Deerfield

Thanks Deerfield- I look much better from a distance and on my on side lol. Actually I'm enjoying running a ton of passes at speeds that gives me a high % chance of making all 6. I could push the speed/rope length more but at my age (40) I've enjoyed having a season without any hard falls. But when I look at video now vs 5 years ago I realize how far I've come.

@skiyaker - lol at your age???? Dude I'm 51 and didn't start chasing those damned buoys until I was 46.
I know routinely run into 32 and the odd day I actually make it to 35 off!

Go hard man! :)

Still love to get out and ski as much as possible. Never run the course, just free skiing.

I'd like to try this. What mount(s) did you use? What's the line visible through the handle that looks like it goes toward your shoulder?

I just wrapped a piece of rope around my handle at the yolk, and covered it with electrical tape, then used a handlebar mount on that. It wobbles across the wakes, but it was good through the turns. I’ll see if I can track down the video this screenshot came from.

That line you can see through the handle is the far shoreline.

This summer I want to the GoPro on a course bouy and use a remote in the boat to take burst pics coming into the ball and leaving, see what that gets.

couple of pictures from last week on the lake. Not as good as most of you but feels good to get out. I know it's hard to get much info from a picture but feel free to critique. I'm always looking to get a little better. The one picture has a lot of spray.

After 55 years of skiing starting at the age of 6, I am retiring from the sport this year. Enjoy it while you can and ski often. Great workout. I always enjoy seeing the pics.

Scott - second pic look at the line in relationship to your body. You need to try and rotate your hips so you bring the right hip up and you can get the handle down towards your left hip thus creating alignment and a good stacked position you can carry through the wakes. Have fun! :)
