Hey brand new Moomba owner here. I've got a leak and am trying to figure out what this part is called. Looks like an easy fix but I'm not sure how to find the part. Any help is appreciated!25775

That's the impeller housing gasket

You can get a new one with your impeller or you might be able to order just that from Atlanta Marine

Thanks mmandley. I did a quick search and keep coming up with Johnson parts when searching indmar impeller gasket or raw water pump gasket. Do you know if this would be comparable this the oem part?

Johnson 09-812B
Many places to get them. I think I've bought them from Amazon before

I suspect the cover was not on tight for it to blow the gasket. Make sure you can tighten the screws and that they are not stripped

DOCDRS- that is exactly what happened. The top screw was loose causing it to leak. I tried to tighten it and the screw just spins. I tried to use a different screw just in case and the same thing happens. So now i am looking at replacing the whole raw water pump unless anyone has a solution. Any help is appreciated!

It doesn't look like there is enough metal to install an insert or tap to a larger size but you can try. If you buy a new pump make sure it is for 1-1/4" hoses, not 1".

For anyone who has this same problem, I was able to tap from a 5mm to a 12-24, which was the closest size up I had. I had to buy a longer bolt and chop it down to fit but so far the gasket is sealed and holding strong. I'm still considering just replacing the pump to be safe but I've ran the boat hard for a few hours and no leaks so far. Reading the threads in here it seems changing the pump is pretty simple but can be a pain to get the old one off.
Thanks everyone for the info and help!
