Hard steering could be the steering cable or the rudder may just need grease. Look for a grease fitting inside the hull where rudder comes through.

Thank you for the incite... Hopefully the rain will let up and I can get to looking at the suggestions .

Question about ballast system so the master valve can stay open at all times.. however you would want to close it if lets say there was a leak in the system or the solenoids were not working or ect.

Correct on the ballast shutoff. Each solenoid has a little switch too that enables dash switch operation vs always open (fills when driving).

Don't put that boat in the water... your center drain plug is missing. :D

OTOH, with your drain plug on hand, put the boat in the water and keep it on the trailer. Remove the plug to let the bilge fill with an inch or two of water, then ensure your automatic bilge pump comes on. This should run even when the dash switch is off.

Then put the plug back in. (obvious point, I know, but plenty of people have forgotten).

good thought process.....with all the rain here in Florida I do happen to know that the auto bilge is working.
As for the plug I did notice there was not a plug on the stern. am i correct to say there is only the one plug.

If you don't see a stern plug, then yes you only have the one. That's how mine is too.

Check out the 1st pic. Looks like a big open hole in the hull.
