On my 13 Mojo it has what I call Auto Start.

I turn the key let it go and the boat cranks until it starts.

Lately it's been cranking up to 5-8 seconds.

I only have 300hrs but went ahead bought a new cap and rotor for the tune up. Turns out SC or Indmar didn't tighten my cap completely. I noticed it was slightly loose fitting.

When I removed I I know why I had starting delays. Everything was wet, corrosion had set in. All the terminals and rotor.

Changed them boat fires up in 1-2 seconds

Just goes to show regular maintenance does pay off. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170601/254fbd56de0da3a10770893d160b0d0c.jpg

That's exactly how mine looked.

Might think about plug wires too then. Because mine were needed at the same time as my cap/rotor. I have to imagine that sitting on the water all the time makes for a wetter environment for your engine components and might accelerate corrosion over being tucked away in your warm, dry PNW garage.

True true when I inspected the cables no corrosion. I am hoping they last another season. If I have anymore problems those and plugs are next
