Hey guys I just bought some dock fenders to protect the boat from bumping up against the dock. As you can see in the picture, it comes with a rope to secure the fenders to the boat but what do you guys use to secure the boat to the dock? Just some simple rope? or one of those bungee ropes?
I just want to be able to safely tie up the boat on one side and leave it for an hour.

I don't see a picture
I secure the bumpers to the dock with nylon rope
I have Airhead bungee lines I run from the dock to the boat so the boat can move.
I still tie ropes from the dock to the front and rear of I leave the boat out overnight or of it gets windy

That all makes sense. Thanks for the help. I was curious to know if people were using both the bungee and the fenders and it sounds like they are

My pier has bumpers attached, so I just use these in the 1/2" x 15' variety. Very heavy and no color fade:

Exile buoy balls and Airhead bungees. The Exile buoy balls are the bomb, I would get 4 of them that way you are covered all the way around. They are great for docking up or tying up to other boats in party cove.

I use 1/2 line for tie ups longer than a few hours, piece of mind

I use $12 kids 18in hippity hop balls (amazon) and airhead bungee ropes. I have 4 soccer ball ones. They're the best.
