Hey guys. I'm looking to get a couple new surfboards. I finally got the boat throwing a nice wave so I can justify upgrading my board. I currently have an old hyperlite coex 4'4". I'm looking for a board with a more surfy feel. I'm also looking for something my wife can ride and I can teach my 6 year old son to surf on. Found a couple used boards locally. One phase 5 fish skim and one custom soulcraft. The guys selling them for a killer deal but I just wanted to get a couple opinions before I go spending hundreds. Any one have any thoughts?

Wait for the reviews to come out from Southern surf fest last weekend.. Phenomenal weekend BTW ... should be soon and I think you'll be surprised...

Phase 5 scamp for the kiddo.

They have some Blem spark Plug's on the doomswell site. they're a great value at $400. My wife rides a spark plug.

Depending on which soulcraft, that could be a fun board.

I couldn't pass it up I went ahead and bought the phase 5 fish and the soulcraft. It's an older model AV but both boards are in perfect shape. Can't wait to hit the water and see how they ride! Hoping to have my 6 year old riding on his own in the next month or so

Got real close to sticking a 360 on the soulcraft today! Made it around pretty easily with the rope but just caught an edge at the end of the spin ropeless. Had plenty of speed too. The board is super fast and easy to spin. I've been surfing for 15+ years and never got close to spinning or getting air like I was able to today. Needless to say I love the new board and everyone's help with getting the wave dialed has been huge. I've never had as much fun surfing as I am having now!
