Super excited, about to go pick up a brand new 2016 Craz tomorrow. It is a dealer holdover so I got a great deal on it. I am coming from a 2002 mastercraft x-30, so I am interested to see how I like the moomba.

So for Craz owners, what is the first upgrades or things you added after picking up your boat? I have 3 750 fat sacks I was thinking I might be able to plug in somewhere. Or, I dont believe the new boat has a mirror, and my MC did. Is this a must item? Any other suggestions?

I will post a pic of my new boat when I pick it up.

You will enjoy the conviences and piece of mind of a newer boat. 750s will fit in the rear compartments (if they are the v drive sacs) but it will be on the smaller side of what most are doing. 750 to 1450 is what most members have been running, all plug and play.

I think a mirror is necessary, you will need a window mount. Don't bother looking for a factory one as it's not that great.

There are tons of other ways this group can help you spend money on the boat .... stereo ... fae ... the list is long

I would go 1100's or 1450 enzo's. The stock bags produce a pretty weak wave. Just installed my enzo's today, they are a few inches long. I had 1100's last season and they did alright.

Congrats, post up pics when you get it!

@mattsak....when you say stock bags did you have 650's or 900's from the factory?

Got her home yesterday. I have some leftover bags I plan to swap in for the rear, they are either 750s or 1100s, need to look them up. Boat ended up coming with a mirror, although the stock one.

You will also need the upgraded surf prop if it's not already equiped

I have the 14.25x14.5 prop, is that the surf prop? I don't plan on messing with the ballast much until I get to the 10 hour break in, but sounds like I need to do some work there. Could is piggyback my 750s and the stock bags under the back seats? Trying to minimize purchases here.

Also from my brief driveway testing, the stereo doesn't blow me away. Thinking maybe the amps are underpowered some? I was wondering too if there was a market for the roswell tower speakers it came with (4). I had rev 8s on my last boat and feel like I might want to go back.

Last ? before I go take her our on the water today. Do you all change both the vdrive oil and trans fluid at the 10 hour mark? I know I need to do engine oil.

If they're the roswell coaxial 6.5's they're not worth much. I sold a pair of mine with amp for $300 I think. Guy on this forum bought em as a second pair for his helix.

You have the standard prop 15x3 is the upgrade you loose a little top end but tons of torque out of the hole

What is the top speed with the surf prop? I am assuming no issues wakebaoring with the surf prop?

I've always ran a low pitch prop and you will have zero problem with wake speeds.

Just completed my break in service today. Changed the oil, trans fluid and v drive fluid. They all looked brand new still, almost felt like a waste but I dont want any issues with a new motor!

I realize the Enzo bags are surfing focused, but has anyone utilized these for wakeboarding? I an only imagine how UUUGE the wake would be then. I have the 900's in the rear compartments currently with the stock center and 650 PNP in the nose. I'm curious if I'd be able to get on plane with that kind of weight, but can't help but think that more is always better.

I do mine every season and they look like that. It's a good thing.

Finally got my first boarding in after the break in. I love the wakeboard wake, its way above my abilities. I liked the surf wake, but still had the stock bags in, i think another maybe 200-300 it would be perfect. Turns our 2 of my bags at home are 1100s and one is a 750, so I just bought the connectors and engine panel saver kit for the back panels. I will put the 750 up front as mine did not come with any front bags.

I was a little disappointed with the 4 roswell speakers and amp for the tower. I am going to toss those up in the classifieds and upgrade to some rev 8s i believe. The roswell speakers are plenty for hanging in a cove or surfing, they just dont pack the punch for wakeboarding.

I'm going to stick with my 750 bag but thanks. I want the storage space up front for now.

I really enjoyed my Craz wake with the stock ballast. Much more weight I have problems getting on plane at 5000' elevation. I'm in the break in process of a 17' Mojo and can't wait to binding ride it.

anyone had issues with their craz rpm gage not returning back to 0 on shut off? I have had the gage stick above 0 and go way below. ON restart it doest not reset and the gage is off the entire time the engine is running.
