We - as everyone here most likely, have had some heat lately. 106 with the heat index yesterday..... Our crew went out last night after work to ride- only to find my floor boards ripped up and the gas tank expanded like a pregnant woman. I opened the gas cap and an incredible amount of air wistled out. Obviously my vent isnt working properly. Does anyone know where the vent is located? I have a 2000 Kamberra.
The screws are now all stripped out on the floor boards- and I will probably need to drill new ones in. I hope this never happens again. Pretty scary site walking to your boat as it floats in the marina and the floor looks like an earthquake came through..

thanks guys

I would take it to your local dealer to get it fixed. Anything to do with the fuel system is high risk and it would be best to let the professionals handle it. Jay Warren

Thank You for your reply Jay,

I don't have a local dealer. I live in Toledo Ohio and bought the boat in Virginia. I was hoping I could replace or fix the vent myself.

Should I locate a dealer? Or is this something I can give a shot at myself?

Thanks again,

Nate

Just wonder where you had your Moomba serviced in Toledo?

Brooklyn, MI is 1.5 hours from Toledo, I belive this is the dealer: http://boaterschoiceonline.com/

I bought my boat in Coldwater MI, which is 1.5 hours from Toledo.

Is there any place closer? It doesn't seem Toledo has any Indmar engine shops...
