Holy cow they're expensive (considering what they are).

We're renting a lake house for a week this summer and was considering getting one to add to the things we can do. But no way I'm paying $400+ for a giant roll of foam rubber. Does anyone have a cheaper alternative or alternative ideas?

It'd be cool to have one on the boat too for regular outings, but they look like they'd take up quite a bit of space when not in use.

We absolutely love ours but it would be a pain if we weren't on the lake. We occasionally strap it onto the swim platform and drive across the lake with it but it's kinda a mess.

We have the 20x6. They make smaller versions that may not be as bad to tote around the lake. Also, not all are created equal .. the heavier duty built ones have a membrane in between two pads that supposed to be impenetrable.

We have something similar to this and love it. It is much cheaper, you can fold it up and put it in the bow on the floor or in the rear locker and then blow it up with your air pump when you hit the cove. We have a small anchor that we tie to it and we leave it in the cove when we go surf or wakeboard. The one we have you can also zip mulitple ones together.

BTW...if you look at the 3rd picture on Amazon of this island you will see a picture of KG and Dusty standing on the island looking all buff

Nice find! That's the most reasonably priced one I've seen. Does it get as firm as it looks in the pictures?

sams club or Costco have the mats, but yes a pain if you don't have a place at the lake . we bring ours out for the weekend and roll up and put in shed afterwards. pain in the arse to drag behind boat

Not sure how to answer this:confused:

All joking aside, you can walk on it, lay out on it, kids turn it into a battle royal matt.

Thanks for the tip on the inflatable! That's more like it... and more user friendly to boot.

"BTW...if you look at the 3rd picture on Amazon of this island you will see a picture of..." Dude in the green shorts is straight up ripped!
