Made it down the dock and got the boat 95% dewinterized, but never got it started and need some help. I'm no mechanic, but confident enough to do the work myself. Got everything done and buttoned up, but engine wouldn't turn over. Starter clicked, but didn't get the engine to fire. Before we go into the typical diagnoses for such a problem, keep in mind this is a brand new boat with 100 hours. Everything electrical worked (including ballast, stereo, etc.) but the engine just wouldn't turn over. So it seems to me it's a problem of getting to proper voltage to the engine. Checked to batteries and they had 10.0 and 11.6 V respectively. Granted, not full rated change, but certainly sufficient to start the boat (one would think). So I'm thinking I had the wiring configuration wrong on the batteries. I have a drawing (I'm no artist, but I think you'll get it) of how I hooked them up. If anyone could help me figure out the problem or point me in the direction of a wiring schematic, it would be appreciated.
I think the wires (tied to the Ground of B1 and pictured) are where I had the problem. Checked the breaker, and that was fine. Thanks guys.
