well, after 4 years, I'm done with the wisconsin winter and the 2 weeks of summer that the state affords so took a new job in SLC(actually grantsville).
probably the hardest decision i have ever made as I was with my last employer for 30 years(started when I was 10).
leaving the state on 3/25. will come back in early may to get the truck and boat. not sure if the boat will stick around as I really didn't use it much over the last 4 years and thinking my schedule will not afford much additional time but we'll see and peddling out in the west should be a tad easier.

I see a few from SLC on here and hoping to hitch a ride or 2 once moved and settled.

Good Deal! The wife and I have decided that the Park City area (probably Heber) is where we'll retire in about 13 years.

Love it there. College buddy moved there right after school. Been traveling there ever since.

At one time, we looked at small homes in Park City prior to the 2002 Olympics. Kicking myself in the azz for not doing that.

Retirees have it made out there, like the areas around Snowbasin. Not as pricey as Park City, but not as much going on.

You just to keep L-I-V-I-N

Congrats! But don't be too hasty now.... Me thinks you should give the area a season or two and see how the boat likes it.

Congrats and welcome. I moved here 20 yrs ago and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The mountains, outdoors, lakes, etc make it a great place to live and play.

Congratz Scot,

I used to visit Utah a couple times a year, Grandma and Uncle live in Logan, hourish NW of SLC, always loved it there.

Grantsville is a nice area and growing fast. There's a private community out there with a lake and wish I could afford the price. We have a HUGE boating community and will have no problem catching a ride. We have a Wake World thread http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1955166#post1955166 but it's slowed down a lot in the last few years. You will love Utah and everything it has to offer...

rented a small place to call home for a few months while I look for a place to purchase. in tooele. it's old and not what I like(single car garage and no fenced yard) but it's cheap and will work. roll into town on monday the 27th if all goes well. start new job on the 3rd so thinking I'll jet down to vegas for a few days and visit the parental unit. nice to be so close now...

Was in St George enjoying the 85 degree sunshine. This pulls up next to us.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170315/938ee8dd151320fb046d28e57d9a474a.jpg
If you're a Nautique DD fan, this was a beautiful boat.

I was looking for the Stars and Stripes in the picture. Tops in ski boats.
