Getting a buff job that is long over due. From the journey it made from Oregon to Tx the shrink wrap and tape left a few spots on it that wouldn't wax out, hoping this takes care of it!

That's the proper way to do it and not get wax where it doesn't belong

I was thinking maybe a few pieces on the tower ala Mojo Pro, speaker cans and the trailer fenders with your orange. My trailer will be coming with the exact same wheels and I was thinking of doing those in Matte Black Rustoleum Peel Coat as blacking those out would make the color pop more. I haven't used the peel coat myself yet, supposedly it's pretty durable but can come off if you decide it ain't your cup of tea.

Not much to say on the interior, well done sir, I love the silver moquetta on black with the orange piping....looks phenomenal!

In Atlanta we had water in the 70s through November, the boat stayed in the lift December, January only. Already been out a few times in Feb.

So much nicer then when we lived in Portland LOL.

made it on the water saturday, but only 2 of us so i did not get in. water was at 46, so still a bit chilly. was still great to get on the water. We did have a pleasant first day out though. I thought i had switched the batteries to off last winter during winterizing, and i had, but then i guess i got back in, and did some things with the stereo on, forgot to turn it off that time. dead batteries, but jump right alive and charged on the water for an hour spin around the lake. also good to burn out some of the old gas too. one of the ballast bags seemed to fill while driving, will have to check the valve and probably replace it. really wish i would have taken it in for new upholstery this winter. but the wife gets a new kitchen and main level flooring upgrade, so i will live with this another season.

It's a good time for sure to buy 2016 models. December to now probably not much different. I did in December because boat show 7 year warranty, had a buyer wanting my mojo, a little help on 2016 taxes, and price was right on SA. The one I bought was a last summer 2016 model.

Same feedback I have heard from dealer and a couple of team riders. You still have to get it setup the way you like. I think it would be good for when your crew changes or moves around in boat. My crew is a 7 and 6 year old most of the time. I think autowake would burn up the ballast pumps trying to keep up with them moving around the boat!!

If you already had someone to buy your Mojo, that is so key.

I would buy the same model if I sold my 07 supra:-)

Not sure if I would fork over that extra $$ for the 450 motor.

That blue/graphite 2016 SA Worlds in the classifieds is pretty sweet.

Ouch, that interior is not happy. Mine is a 2008 also and could probably look like that but I've got tons of "Tear Aid" holding everything together. I actually bought a 5' roll of tear aid to get me through 1 more season before I re-upholster. It's clear and doesn't look perfect, but it's way better than having open tears on the vinyl.

Some days more than others...

I won't be going to the jam this year, unless I finish my trailer rebuild in time. Those ramps at Bethy suck, I have to back the trailer so far down it's hitting something submerged back there. I tore up a fender pretty good on top of the massive gouge down the side of the boat when a guide pole pad came off.

I talked to McClain at the boat show about building a trailer for this boat, but they wanted close to $8k!!! Hell no...
once the boat leaves the 'glass shop it's going to get some stereo work done. Then I'm off to buy steel and start the trailer mods!

Hey I've only been boating since I was born... but I'll take any advice anyone wants to offer! The day you quit learning, something something... lol

As long as my schedule stays slow, I should have it done. I'm gonna completely rework the bow catch on the trailer. Instead of a roller I'm gonna cut all that off and build a v nose catch like the old nautique trailers.
The droopy Supra nose is sexy, right up until you look like a complete idiot trying to get it over the roller on the trailer! Lol

For now she's done enough to put the boat back on, I'm about to hook up as we speak and deliver it back to the 'glass shop. Hopefully boat will be done today or tomorrow!

Instead of a roller I'm gonna cut all that off and build a v nose catch like the old nautique trailers.
They looked so good! Just a heads up if you haven't used one though... Carpet wears out quite fast with the road vibration and I have also seen it pull out the rub rail. The rails are build a lot different now so maybe that's not a problem. Can't wait to see the trailer done, looks damn good so far.

Finally got my new (to me) 2009 lsv on the water to ride. So happy to ride behind her rather than work on her. Since I didn't get to work on ballast configuration because I couldn't fill ibs (see below). Not me pictured.

I did encounter one weird thing that I'll have to work on. The 12v outlet turned the tsunami pump on (for ibs) but didn't pump. Tried 2 pumps but both of them didn't work and I know they work fine. Head scratcher for sure since it would spin...tried a phone charger and it lit up but actually emptied the phone charge. Anyways, i'll tinker with it later unless anyone has suggestions. 253642536525364

Not sure why it's rotating the image, tried to compensate for rotation and it stayed the same lol

80 degrees mid March in Denver....not sure what to say but I'll take it! We normally aren't on the water for another month but managed to get out today for a couple decent sets to get the rust off. Water was 57, almost didn't even need the drysuit. Wifey didn't get any pics of me riding since she was managing the 2 and 5 year old while I rode, but we had a great first day out!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170320/9f31bb23494a8236859561e7650369ca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170320/1e819fd43f54166f8a87cefc89d5e76b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170320/83d258030e4cf17a48d404c946224e3a.jpg
I got to get my first ride on my new phase5 wire. First impressions, it was decent. Pretty fast, broke loose easier than the nubstep, but I found myself back on the nubstep for my 2nd ride of the day. Even better....little man's new hyperlite vest arrived friday...the thing is sweet!

Make sure you are connecting it right. when filling the bag, the hose goes on the bag and the pump itself goes over the side in the water.

Yes, it is much better to get the natural oils from people's feet in your carpet as opposed to mere dirt which will wash off.

I have Miners Moss or whatever it's called and the washes super easy. I'm a no shoes person as well because someone will ALWAYS step on the seats.

My policy is no shoes on the seats. I'm am not too concerned with the floor especially because it is carpet. To have someone put shoes on my seats....recipe for me being less than kind. I've mastered the butt swivel motion getting in sitting on the side of the boat for those times needed.

That's exactly what the guy who cleans my carpets at the house says.

Bottom line: Boat owner makes the rules, boat owner choses when and where to follow the rules himself. I changed out my carpet to hydroturf. I work on my boat all the time wearing shoes (doing upgrades, projects, etc). I get in and out without ever touching the seats with my shoes. When I screwed up my midfoot ligament last year, I left my shoes on while using my boat, but made everyone else take theirs off! LOL.

No judgement from me. I'm pretty confident that if you can shred hard on a surfboard that you have the dexterity to avoid the vinyl! Carry on!

Well, I haven't had any boating to contribute to the March thread. And there probably won't be any boating happening this month for me.

It's been a pretty awesome snowboarding season, but the wife had to miss most of it because we're pretty sure a wakesurf pull took out her rotator cuff and she had surgery on it in August. She was just cleared to ski at the beginning of March, so that was great to finally be back on the slopes with her. That lasted all of 8 days when injury struck me.

http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/u492/traysonh/Snow/Screenshot_2017-03-20-19-17-41_zpsf7wjfocj.png

It was my 8th day snowboarding out of the past 15. We had just started our day and headed straight to Heather Canyon, a double black diamond sidecountry area. I dropped the steep double black run like I have so many times in the past, but with variable snow conditions I got bucked off and took a tumble... I could feel a sharp pain on the inner side of my knee. It hurt, but not so bad I needed ski patrol. I was able to ride the rest of the way down to the chair, and regroup with the wife and our friend. The next day it was really stiff and sore, so I knew I needed to make an appointment with the orthopedic specialist.

They suspected MCL damage, so knee brace and an apointment for an MRI followed.

http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/u492/traysonh/Snow/0310172003_HDR_zpsl0xupoxs.jpg

Good news is that I won't have to have surgery. The MCL has some damage and there's a tiny bit of damage to the ACL. It'll be a couple months of physical therapy, but I'll have to hang up the snowboard for the remainder of the season. Hopefully I can transition back into watersports as the season ramps up...

I'll get the boat back on the water as soon as I can, but doing any "springtime mods" might be a challenge... Hope you all get our shredding soon!!!

I spent yesterday dirt biking and a perfect day for riding but I had no pain in my back or knees for the first time in five years. It is short lived though as I haven't been working out because of a bacterial infection brought back from Hawaii and getting Influenza-A despite having a flu shot.

You gotta protect your body parts as you get older or you'll be doing more sitting than playing. Get used to using "good" knee braces where it doesn't hinder your sport even if you have good knees. If you are having pain going into summer have your knees cleaned out of the loose stuff as it gets in places where it shouldn't. Watch your posture and have others let you know if you are overcompensating for the knee injury as that will start giving you back problems. Sometimes I don't even realize it until someone tells me to straighten up. When I say good knee braces, I am talking about braces that fits tighter than a glove so you'll see a long upper part and lower part with multiple straps on the top and bottom. They would be able to fit inside ski pants with no problem. I've had three clean outs on my right knee and I can't recover what has been damaged but I do like to take the broke parts out rather than have them interfering with what does work. I wish you the best.

Hope it all works out fine Trayson, I have no cartilage in my outer right knee due to an accident. Took 9mths to walk again and 2yrs before I could do stairs. My old man is a GP and recommended I let nature do its thing and see what happens. Sure was slow but can do most things atm. I cross country ski but I'm not fit nor skinny. Would not go downhill with my knee thou, I'm err 52yo so gotta look after what's left! Same as I wont try slalom as much as I wouldn't mind having a go tho. Getting up on the wakesurfer is enough strain and pressure but getting used to it, surf goofy although I'm not sure you would call what I do strictly surfing....more like hanging on atm! A lot softer to fall off this one then hitting the snow.
A couple of pics from last Sunday out at Eildon. Probably the last for this season I'd say.
Cheers BruceR

The joys of being active. I sit at a desk all day during the week and teach kids how to ski on the weekends spending most my time in a wedge, which kills the knees. On the bright side we can ski together as a family even my 20 month old. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170321/e39c256efe0bad97e998569170ef525e.jpg

Old habits die hard...picked up a lightly used 2011 RMZ250. Haven't ridden since 2008ish. Broke my femur in a crash in 07, rode a few times after recovery but couldn't shake the fear. Felt incredible to be back on it Sunday.

Very cool pic. My friend who lives in Solitude is always posting spring pics like this. Love UT.
Home schooling and living at the base of a resort allows that family (and the 8yo) to get triple digits days almost every year.

got out on the water to ride on 3/17. was a fine day, the boat worked well. except for one bag that kept filling up. guess i will need to replace a valve this year.

I am going to be pulling my boa out of storage soon and I want to get a good polish on it before it goes in the water. Just wondering what people recommend for a good orbital buffer and what buffing compound you use. I have a little bit of oxidation that needs to be removed as well.
