Hello all, I am in the process of purchasing a newer body style LSV and have heard good things about the wake but haven't seen many pics or exacts on best setup. Also, for those that have ridden other boats how does it relate (i.e. similar to 205v, vlx, etc).

Already ordered a perfect pass to replace moomba cruise in OEM spot and probably going to order the acme 1433 prop. Any other purchase suggestions (after all it's fun to spend other people's money).

Any common issues with these boats to keep an eye on?

Thanks for the help and look forward to posting more on this forum!

The LSV has a real nice wake. Seems to like weight up front. When I was learning the basics I really liked the center sac full and an additional 400 full in the bow walkway with no weight in the rear bags. Once I progressed further I would set it up with all the stock 400 bags full, a 750 in the cabin and a 750 across the bow seats.

How does the lsv compare to your 21v (width, vert/ramp)? Any truth to side to side weight sensitivity? I 've got about 400# lead to put up front in addition to the ibs and ski locker. It's got 1100s now but I could switch them out with 750s if this is too much for a clean wake between 22-23mph. I know there will some playing around needed but wanted a good starting point.

I've got an 08 LSV and I run 650s in the rear full, 400 belly sack full, and the IBS full at about 22-22.5 mph with the wake plate and about half to 3/4 down

I have an 07 LSV and for surfing I use 400lbs in the ski locker (belly), around 500lbs in the bow, and 750lbs in the rear locker. I also made a suck gate which I think helps a lot. I would definitely recommend building a suck gate.

To me both the 21v and LSV have similar wakes as far as shape goes. The 21v might be a little less sensitive side to side but not by much. Pound for pound of ballast the 21v has a bigger, more firm wake but again not by much, I just remember that being one of my initial impressions riding behind the 21v. The reason I always like weight in the front of the LSV is because I fel like it made the wake more firm. I always ran the LSV and now the 21v with the wakeplate all the way up.

This is the LSV with 400s in each rear compartment, center 400 full, 750 in the cabin and 750 in the bow. 65ft line, 24.2mph, wake plate all the way up.

Thanks guys for the replies. bzubke1, 65' is a little closer than i'm used to (and like), can it stay cleaner farther back with more bow weight or is 65' the expected norm before it starts curling? I'm excited to get behind her but anxious that I'll be spoiled with my old 2002 xstar wake.

I ran a similar set up to bzub. 400s in the rear, 400 center and the 750 IBS, wake plate all the way up. 22-23.5 and 65-80 feet.

Thanks for the reply, I got 750s and 1100s. Buddy has 400s that I may try out if the other two are too much rear weight.

I had the 1100s, just only put 400 in for boarding.
