We bought our craz new in July of 16, we love it! Here's some pictures of what we've done to it to make it just how we like it. I have a few more things I want to change over the next couple months just haven't had time! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170212/0944a2edb9de68248a7d361e60e876cb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170212/f1dc05b34466c8563e155ac9dad9be81.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170212/c1049adadd9ba28fe9e2e21f89e6261a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170212/08b0cbcae8fe07344ce3239857e8e4fc.jpg

Love the touch to the fenders! Been contemplating doing ours red but I haven't wanted to mess with new gatorstep and clear vinyl for them.

Thanks! We had to get new fenders for the wider tires so when they showed up raw it was a matter of whatever color I wanted to put in the gun at work [emoji23]

Didn't even catch the step! Very nice touch there, now I'm scratching my head wondering if I should be doing that on ours, the center seat take a beating from being stepped down onto.

Seriously, there's some sweet changes you've made.

How'd you get the bow steps? I made the request on my order and was told Boatmate couldn't accommodate.

Also love the center seat step, I have a pad I throw down but that is nice.

Did you paint the wake plates black?

Also, the flooring...what is it?

Thank you! The bow steps I called boatmate directly and ordered them ($350). The plates are powder coated, we own a blast and powder coat shop so naturally I find things to take to work [emoji23]. The flooring is seadek.

Awesome boat, you & I have the same tastes. I'm still finding stuff to powder haha. I don't own a shop so it costs me a little bit but every bit worth it. I did my seat base, throttle knob, fenders, racks/swivels, speakers, flag holder, steering wheel cover.

I thought about doing the plates but was worried how they would hold up in the water? Will powder last submerged like that?

Love the seadek...I really want to do that to mine. That bow ladder is awesome...$350 seems very reasonable. I'm giving them a call tomorrow haha.

Looks awesome [emoji1319]

I was curious about the same thing. If I were to contact seadek would they now have a template to be able to send me the pieces?

It would be very smart on Seadeks part if they digitally saved all templates they received. I'm sure a lot of people here would buy it if all the leg work was done. I know I would.

What would you guys guess the flooring would cost? More in the 500 range or more in the 1k? If around 500 I may consider that, if more I'm probably gonna do hydro turf for 250

Closer to $1k than $500.

Here the pricing for the Mojo on gatorsteps website. I'm sure pricing would be the same for other models.

Just spoke to them. They said they save everything. They have copies of every piece I have, the gunnels front to back, the flooring, the swim deck, the walkway. Even though they are the same boats they still highly recommend that they send out templates so you can make sure each piece fits how you like. It's all under Brian Stimbert. SCwakes number is 18557292531

Hopefully it helps you guys out!

I think its closer to the 1800 range, if i remember correctly.

I wouldn't mind getting the walk thru, step, and swim platform.

Interesting development on the bow steps and swing tongue...me thinks you could keep the steps if you made them removable? Like weld the base onto the tongue and a few inches up cut the steps off and make them slip into or over the base with a quick release pin, such as a hitch pin or something. Ahhh if only I could weld.

So a little more info. You need the extended tongue in order to get the removable steps. I gave boatmate my VIN number and they called me back a few hours later saying it wasn't possible with my shorter swing away tongue. Damnnnnitttttttt I just saved my self $350.

LOL. How long is the standard vs extended tongue? I know the tongue on my 17 Craz is quite a bit longer than the one that was on my 15 Axis....both are Boatmate trailers...

How did you mount the sub? Is it free air just mounted in the panel or did you build a box behind the panel somehow? Pics/measurements if so?

There is actually an outline on the back of the panel, cut it like a dotted line and that's it. I didn't build an enclosure or anything, it does great though! She bumps! [emoji41]

Cool, didn't realize that so thanks for sharing. I'm pretty sure I'm going to build a box but good to hear it sounds good without one. I've heard otherwise even from my dealer but granted that was with a different sub.

How wide is the step down you added to the seat? Did you just match the walkway width on the sundeck? If you had to cut the HDPE or Starboard, how did you finish the edge?

I'm about to order the material and cut my foam, but having a clean edge on the cut HDPE concerns me.

Stimbert
03-02-2017, 09:28 PM
Yes, I just matched the walkway. Just used a router to round off the edges.

wolfeman131

HDPE is very easy to work with. Carbide blade on a circular saw cuts it like butter and a round over bit in the router to ease the edges.

dusty2221
03-02-2017, 10:25 PM
Yeah, I've cut it with the circular table saw, just haven't had any project where the edge needed routing so I was curious. I have some scrap I'm going to practice on. Appreciate the feedback!
