2015 Mobius LSV hydraulic surf system retro fit?

I have a 2015 LSV. The boat came with the manual Surf tabs. ( they suck.) I then spent a ridiculous amount of money ( at the time) for a delta mission wake shaper.... Its ok, but nothing compared to a neighbor who sinks his 2006 supreme with 60+ tons of ballast.

I am now wondering if I should drop another 5k on a surf system. I don't know what to buy, what will work, or if it would be worth it in the first place.

What's your ballast setup like with the mission delta? I've seen some pretty impressive lsv waves that were slammed with a mission delta.

I would also be curious on your ballast setup as well.

I run in the neighborhood of 2800-3200 depending on the amount of people with us for that particular day. I purchased the flow after one season with our 13 LSV and was an nice improvement. By no means is it an automated surf system but I found it worth the money. Fast forward to last summer, myself and another forum member put together a homemade suck gate and it was the best setup we have had to date. My motivating factor for the suck gate was we ran 100% full ballast, whereas the manual flow still seemed to favor weighting on one side.

I don't recall what my ballast is, but it came with the boat. For some reason 1100lbs comes to mind. I do know that with 4 or so people in the boat and all the bags full, its not hard to spoon the boat. So not sure if it could take much more? My thought is if I could update, I could fine tune the wake.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

And yes 60 tons was an exaggeration, but he has a crazy amount. :)

650s in the rear are your stock bags. If you have the surf edition you have 500 in the bow. If you haven't upgraded those I would start there. I think you would be pleasantly surprised. Most of the LSV owners run 1100 in the rears, I'm probably in the minority at 900. I don't think there is much sample size for a wave control type system on our particular boat so I can't speak to that.

I have a 15 LSV as well... I run 1100 in the rears and stock center plus the 500 ibs. Also have a suction gate (suckgate) and manual flow. I run 100% full on front, 75% rear, and manual gate on setting 1 with suck gate assistance. Wake tab at about 25% down and the wave pushes waist high. That's with dual batteries and 3 amps port and driver stbd. Good Luck!

(If you go with an auto setup, be sure to keep us informed. Some of us have had the same questions...)

I have the fly high 1100's that I bought from Wakemakers, plus the prop that was recommended by Wakemakers. The fake gate is just one of those window suction handles with some plastic to make a gate, but it holds and is universal. Works well. Way better than without it. Way better than just the flow tabs.

I know the auto flow system will fit, as I saw some for sale that had it. But I haven't been able to find one to put on aftermarket. It will require fiberglass fill in of the existing holes in the boat, but they are all under water, so it isn't that noticeable.

Dealership had quoted me 3500 to get the auto flow 1 system installed but that was in Sept 2015. Not really an option anymore unless they have the parts chilling on a shelf at the factory. But if that is the case, DIBS! [emoji1]

Well, I max around 42, but I don't like to go that fast on my lake. Lotta chop on this big water. Surf speed is 3500 @11mph.
As far as pulling kids, I usually stick to 16-20 and fill the bags to half. They like the waves more than the speed. I have mastered the art of swinging them across and jumping the wakes. Also, they are 8&10.

I misspoke earlier, that was the prop recommended by someone on one of these forums, and I figure these guys know what is best, for the most part. I love it though. It is the same size as the 1433 that is recommended by Wakemakers (14x14.25) but the cup is .150 instead of .105 which gives more push as far as i can tell. Uses the full engine, and doesn't hesitate when pulling max ballast (~3200) plus gear and people up to surf speeds smoothly. I don't use full ballast when wake boarding, I don't need it. But it performs quite well for what I need. I have pulled full ballast to 23mph and it did fine, I just don't do it often so I don't know the full extent of the range and issues.

Added that after you quoted, wanted to make sure you got it. And yes, I repropped it. Actually bought a 1433 first, till the ex gf ran it aground on a sand bar 😠 made her buy the new one and had the 1433 repaired. So now I have the stock (it was an OJ) and the 1433 chilling In the garage, in case...

I just called Acme and I have some conflicting information.

When comparing props to gears in a car, he said this:
ACME 537 4 Blade 13.5" x 16" Propeller .105" " is like 3rd Gear"
ACME 381 4 Blade 13.5" x 17.5" Propeller cup .105 " is like 4th Gear" (if I want more top end speed)
And:
ACME 1847 4 Blade 14" x 14.25" Propeller .150 " is like 2nd gear"

Per Wavemakers Prop selector:
Recreational / Everything Acme 1939 4 Blade 14" x 15.5" Propeller cup .105
Wakeboard / WakeSurf Acme 1433 4 Blade 14" x 14.25" Propeller cup .105
High Elevation / Heavily Weighted Acme 1617 4 Blade 14" x 13.75" Propeller cup .105

Thoughts:
Perhaps the 537 is the best I can do for best all around? But having said that, you state your boat will do 42mph -which mine does not (Per indicated speed and not GPS verified) and you also state you surf at 3500 RPM, I seem to be at 4-4500 around same speed. Since I will be buying larger bags, perhaps I should in fact get the 1847?
I know I want to save on engine wear AND GAS!

I know that the propeller is classified as so: 14" (Diameter) x 14.25" (distance traveled per 1 rotation) but I am entirely unsure of the cup designation. All I know is what I get on my boat. Yes, I could go faster with a 14x17.5. But I dont want speed. I like what I have, and it works well for me.

I run Moomba manual Flow (rarely deployed), 1100s, IBS, hard tank and throw around 400. I also use a suck gate and run acme 1617 prop.
