Mirror bolt stripped

Has anyone else had an issue with their factory mirror bolt stripping? I had to insert something into the threads that would help lock in the bolt. It isnt the bolt that attaches it to the windsheild it is the bolt that controlls the forward and backward motion.

The boat will be a year old in 1 week so Im trying to make sure that if I can get the bolt or the piece it scres into replaced I do before its too late
