Damn the struggle of uploading pics to this forum. I can never upload using the "insert image" icon on here. Always have to go through Photo Bucket.
I will post a couple this afternoon.

I got a wireless backup camera for the Suburban. Great present for me as we have to hitch and go every time out. Went out to install in 5-10 min. and realized my license plate is on the tailgate. Ahhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip! Peeled all the interior panels off and got it all installed. Works great!

cant live without mine now, gets even better when you have to back in to a parking a spot and can get right up to a wall or post, not to mention a car with no fear of hitting it

Ed - Into what issues did you run? How did you overcome them? If the same basic water heater model and function, seems that the install task would be straight forward. - Stuart

Hola Stuart! Happy New Year.

My issues were that the water was too hot. After replacing both thermostats and both heating elements, the water was still way too hot - it was actually dangerously hot.

The typical cause for this is a build-up of minerals on the inside of the tank walks, super insulating the extremely hot water from the thermostat. Thermostat reads water temp simply by being clipped in and resting against the tank.

I replaced a "tall" 40 gallon heater with a shorter, but larger diameter 50 gallon tank.

Very simple install - no soldering necessary with the use of (new to me) Shark Bite connectors.

Edit....IMPORTANT INFO FOR FLORIDA FOLKS...during my research of the product and installation I was informed that one should not solder copper pipes and fittings that are 10 years or older. Our weather degrades the copper and pin holes can result...often where the pipe is not accessible (inside walls).

New Box Anchor for me, can't wait to use it. I had been using my Fluke Slip Ring style anchor I had on my 19 foot Stingray, it worked okay on the Moomba but always struggled with the Supra as the SA is just to heavy. The Box anchor should be awesome!

Oops! Sorry to the folks that bought my last house with the new 50 gal. water heater in the closet under the stairs. I may have inadvertently reused all the old copper when I did the reinstall and learned to solder. Oh well. That's what a home warranty is for.

Yep! Buyer beware, home warranty is good.

As we write this....contractors are ripping out all the copper pipes in all the buildings of the parks my wife manages. Pin holes.

I upgraded to box anchor last year and wish I had one 10 years ago. It is great for holding in current. You will be happy.

Well it took all of 2 days for this stick to find a new owner!
I will miss this one as it got me to 35 off a couple times.
Hope it's new owner in Michigan enjoys it as much as I did.

Got a make and model and pictures of it? I might want to add one to my truck.

Well, I don't ever shop at Pep Boys because of their inferior products, especially tires. But, this showed up in one of those online discount newsletter e-mails and I liked the price. I asked for it for Christmas. Figured I'd just return it and look a little harder if it wasn't any good. I'm pretty happy with it though

Looks like you can get it at Lowes:

I put one of these cameras on my truck and my motor home and then I replaced my rear view mirror in the truck. It works well and it shows the hitch when hooking up. I couldn't find the backup wire in the cab so I ended up running the wire from a backup light with the camera cable into the cab. Pull the pillar cover and pull the headliner down a little and feed the wires through. The disadvantage is the rear view mirror/screen doesn't have the tilt feature for night driving. I use it mostly for hooking up trailers and seeing the water level when backing into the launch.
