75* air (didn't last long after sun went behind the trees) and 65* water... probably would have a couple more weeks but DST change will make it almost impossible to go during the week now after work. Wife has wanted the boat winterized for about 4 weeks now, so weekends are probably out too :(

Almost got the 360 down this year, guess I will have to land it in my dreams until Spring

I get excited when I can contribute on the water pics to a November thread. that's as far as my season can go.

Today the high temp was actually 65 degrees, but the sunset was before 6pm, so that didn't leave us a lot of time. I brought the boat to work, left work at 4pm and was at the launch about 4:15pm! The wind forecast was under 5mph, so I knew it was gonna be a good day. It didn't disappoint! Water temp was supposed to be about 53, but turned out to be a balmy 56 degrees! and even 60 in a couple of spots! Still, drysuit weather for me; but didn't need gloves or booties.

Brought some friends with me and they brought some fun toys. Had one of them piloting the P4 and another one on the Gimble. It'll be fun to see what they get from it.

Your pics are broke

I hate google photos. GRRRR...

I had been using photobucket (with ads and ads and ads) but it was down for updating, so I tried the "new and improved" google photos (that really sucks).

I'll get 'em re-uploaded soon. thanks for letting me know.

Colorado is still rideable! 56 water and 55 air this morning (high of 70 today but we went early). Had a great set and the entire lake to ourselves. Makes me wonder how more people aren't buying drysuits and getting some of this? 10 day forecast is showing 60s and 70s through next week, so awesome. Looks like my goal of riding holding a turkey leg on Thanksgiving this year may come true! I have decided I will put the boat up when I get a photo riding in the snow [emoji16]

I'm right there with ya, but in the Pacific NorthWET, the rain kills it for us. And the darkness. Now it'll be dark when I leave work. Sad, Sad day.

And really the biggest reason for me is because my boat lives under a carport and I have to winterize when overnight temps go to freezing. At least the snowboarding season should be starting soon.

Hey Jtate, Glad you went on Sunday, We had the lake to ourselves Saturday morning for a couple hours, alas no pics that have been sent to me yet. Will certainly see you thanksgiving day, we been every year since 2003, though we did skip 2015.

those people in the warm weather just seem a bit spoiled.

Haha I agree. Although I am feeling spoiled with this weather right now to be honest. I will take this chilly water with lake to myself over the normal chopped out chaos with idiot jet skis everywhere!

Photobucket is completely out of control with the ads now. It is practically unusable. I have been using them forever but will need to change.

imgur is a great option.

that is one I've been thinking about. I mean, if it's the preferred site for reddit, I'm sure it can't be too bad.

I set up an account there. I like it, nice and fast with easy generation of direct links. Some of the functionality isn't completely intuitive, but not bad at all.

I think photobucket is the "Pandora" of the picture hosting world. it's the one that most people have heard of because it was around pretty early on. And like Pandora it's not the best by any stretch, but it's the one that people are familiar with and don't bother to switch from. (Spotify and IheartRadio kick Pandora's butt on functionality and size of music library available. Likewise, there's undoubtedly tons of image hosting sites that won't make me miss Photobucket a bit). Plus PB's two day outage was ridiculous.

For the second year in a row, our last day on the water was Veterans Day. Weather was moderate in Portland (60ish) and the water temp was 56. Had a great crew and low wind that gave me glassy water.

Of course I started off with a ski run.
http://i1070.photobucket.com/albums/u492/traysonh/Moomba%20XLV/IMG_3597_zpsfykbp6gt.jpg

I had to hurry to get started when two big cabin cruisers came out of the no wake zone and started motoring. I was JUST able to get in front of them and their wakes for a set with perfect water.

Boating season is over. Hockey season is in full swing. Up in a another forum member's neck of the woods for a hockey game. Went on a "mission" to find a lighthouse that my wife and I tried to ride our bikes to 20 years ago. Ended up riding over 15 miles just to stop at a little store to get snacks and drinks. Too tired to continue, we turned around and round another 15 plus miles back to our campsite. Found out today we were less than 4 miles away from our goal.

A flash back to this time last year;

Ian - Always enjoy your youtube posts. Several years ago (maybe seven?) at an auto show in Chicago I met the parents of someone from the Moomba Forum. For some reason after seeing this video am thinking it was your mom and dad. Don't recall any details but am thinking they were vendors at the show. Am I right on this? - Stuart

Very likely my dad and step mom! Depending on the year, he was either the manager of the show, or owner :)

That water was amaze-ballz smooth! Where was the wakeboarding?!?!?! I mean, surfing is cool and all, but I live to ski and wakeboard on stuff like that.

The forecast showed 12mph wind so wasn't even thinking to wakeboard. When we got there we were like holy cow! Good thing I, I tweaked something in my back surfing and have been hobbling around all Monday. Had I been boarding it would have been all bad!

I did however get my first 360 nailed on the nubstep! As luck would have it I wasn't being filmed and couldn't land the next 3 that were being taped. Lol

We too were out enjoying the warm Colorado weather, 76° yesterday and the water was technically above 50 (50.3°). We must have picked the wrong day though because today is 79°!

Got in one last day before winterizing. Colder weather coming in and some trips for the holidays. Don't want to get a crazy Texas surprise freeze. But the season ended with some amazing water. Water was 70 and air was 72. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161117/70addc8cbf840f52036b50ab0695ec7d.jpg

Mountains are getting 5-10 today but haven't had much. Only a few resorts open. I haven't been in a few years. We live on the east side of the city and with all the damn transplants moving here it is just too much of a hassle anymore to hit the mountains. It's getting as bad as LA any more here with traffic and congestion, Denver has lost so much of what once made it so desirebale.

Texas is just plain crazy though. Yesterday hit 77 or so. Tomorrow night hitting 39. A surprise freeze can be expensive! The new raptor motors take about 20 minutes to winterize if needed to do quickly (not counting oil change and spark plugs) so if we get a warm day probably be back out. Lol.

Stripped off some of the graphics and will strip it all, polish hull, all new graphics,
Finish replacing ALL vinyl on seats
New head unit
Fix bad wakeplate indicator
Hoping to rip out carpet at least the floor and the rest some day

That is the short list. If I can get those done I will be more than happy!

Mount hood Meadows has a 9" base and 12" at mid mountain. Definitely not enough to open, even for a limited opening. I'm hoping maybe by mid December.

They had their first storm though... This is at 5,000 feet.

No no snow. I've been riding my dirt bike in areas that is usually snow and ice this time of year. Rode 75 miles last week near the Columbia River with temps in the low 60's. I eventually will get stuck riding near home waiting through the winter.

The sun in CO is so strong that you'll get hot with anything more. I deck started and had to crash just to cool down a bit. But I do tend to rest my feet on the board out of the water while waiting for the boat to pick me back up.
There are 3+ inches of snow on the boat cover today, so that's likely the end of our season.

Winterized the boat in the garage because I couldn't move it with the broken axle. Lots of tarps and wood to basically make a chute to run all of the water out of the garage. What a fun day. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161121/11d821b66cb60e988ab76aae89e23899.jpg

Sadly sent the boat off today to get winterized. But my pain was numbed by the reality of all the room I now have for activities!! I picked up a 1998 gsx a couple weeks ago so am starting the tear down to make it a little rocket. Should keep me busy until March :)

Brett....boat looks great....and I love Jimmy Johns!!!! lol

Just realized your boat is like my boats older brother, except you've got a black accent panel where I just went all white....seeing how good yours looks makes me even more pumped to see mine! Question on the interior though...do you remember what color choices you have there? I went with Mystic White/White Moquetta without seeing it in person based on my dealer telling me they are both nearly identical whites. Then blue for the accent panel and welt. Just trying to get an idea of what color pattern your boat is to compare. TIA

That's Park City. It's a good mountain to have in our backyard. Deer Valley is closer, but I can't afford it.

And you wouldn't be able to be my guide at Deer Valley when I come to visit. Anti-snowboarding resorts can suck it.
