So I was playing around on their site last week and they updated with 4 more blems marked down to $400 each. Ever since I got to demo one back in May I regretted not buying it so I said screw it and bought a blemish. Well, it showed up today and aside from maybe what looks to be a slight black spec under the resin near the nose, I cannot see a single imperfection in this board! Now the next one shipped might be completely jacked but wanted to share that mine came showroom floor condition and I am pumped to get it out Wednesday. I am doing some vinyl design decals today and tomorrow so I'm not really worried about any defects anyways. Great job Doomswell!http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161025/f1ad12ff7e27d998350b2751a7bfbbb9.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161025/022f19d16ba6999e4dc583bf5f04f2d2.jpg

I love my nubstep. love, love, love it.

I bought my wife a Sparkplug and it rips. they call it a beginner to intermediate board, but it's a little rocket and I don't think there's much beginner about it. They're both a blast to ride. So now we're his and hers Doomswell.

Just the stock Futures F2 fins that came with it. I only run the big thrusters, and I took out the smaller ones that would make it a quad setup. With just the two fins it's easier to kick out the tail.

The one day I rode the board in the spring I also just rode the 2 outers. I am planning on running with the smaller center fins Thursday to see how they feel.

Sweet. Any reason you guys went with the nubstep over the neo? Did either of you demo the neo? I'm on the hunt for a surf style board but would prefer something with a blunt nose for ease of riding backwards.

The neo had just come out. The drone was the only one is ridden. I talked to brock to come up with what we thought would suit me best.

I didn't get a chance to demo the neo and truth be told had it been the discounted blemish I would have went with it since it's a bit more aggressive but cash is king. I liked the nubstep enough after the demo to justify getting it and hope it takes me where I want to be. Although, when I called doomswell the gentleman said there wasn't much difference between the 2 and recommended for my riding style I do the nubstep. I just want something that will air a bit easier than a Danielo diamond

I picked up my Nubstep today, taking it out Saturday, pretty psyched about getting out there with it. But, no cool decals, yet...

Here are a couple of photos from surfing yesterday with my new Nubstep. It was a pretty short session, but loved it. My impressions:
- much lighter and more buoyant than my old beginner board
- super fast, really picks up speed - my old board I had my leading foot pretty far forward to maintain speed, on the Nubstep it's way back
- very responsive - it was like I had taken the training wheels off, as this thing really moved. It will take a bit of time to really get used to it, but it can carve.

So, all in all, love it, good recommendation!

OK, no photos at the moment, can't seem to upload them....

Did you play with both fine set ups? Curious if you liked as a quad or just with the 2 bigger ones? I'm strictly 2 from here out

My son and I only had an hour, so we just did quad for those sets. I'm going out this Saturday and I'll go to 2 fins. If 2 fins is even more maneuverable than the quad, then it's really going to carve.

Agreed. with four fins, the tail doesn't want to kick out at all. However with 2 fins, I can put it completely sideways and I've been able to get around for 360's (but haven't ridden any out yet).

Sweet, fins are coming off Saturday, then, for sure! And I'll have to work on getting a bad ass action photo like Trayson's above....
