Im 6'8/ 315. My set up with 2 pass is full ballast, wake plate up, 100%, 8.7 mph. 750's rear, 500 center, 500 bow. Just put 1100's in last week for next season. Should be able to raise that speed for better push and better wave. 23' boat is too big for surfing unless you have loads of weight. Next season should be better with the 1100's.

Was thinking the exact same thing. We normally ride at 10.6-10.8 but have been playing with less bow weight and dialing back to 10ish but 8.7? That would be all wash unless it's not calibrated right and you're in fact going faster than it is reading.

[emoji121]🏻️[emoji121]🏻️[emoji121]🏻️ my thoughts exactly on the calibration. Just this year had 2, 2015 Mojos come through with surf speeds set at 8.6. I gps'd both and were running 10.6. I reset the offset on the paddle wheel and digital cruise pro now reads accurately.

First off of you use iPhone, download a free speedometer app. Or use a handheld gps if you have one.

Compare your compare what your boat speed says vs the gps or speedometer app on phone.

If there is a difference in speed you can change the paddle wheel offset in your menu screen on the dash. If I remember correctly is in he user settings submenu.

We surf mojo and my xlv around 11.2 mph with weight .

It does need weight , but def surfable stock ballast.

What board are you riding ?

5'6 Dart and a Shim.

i could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the LF Dart only goes to 5'3". Either way, at 6'8" and 315lbs its too small. There are others on here with much more surf time than me but I'm right at 275lbs and I ride the Phase5 Quest, Wire or Kong.

How many pounds in that bad boy? Wondering how that would fit in my craz? I wouldn't hate swapping out my 1100s for a couple of those of they were over 1500# and fit clean
