It's funny how when there is a bit of chill in the air, overcast with some fog you get the whole lake to yourself. It was perfect otherwise.

Exactly how Utah is... Lakes are empty except for a few fishing boats. Got 1 more trip planned to Lake Powell at the end of the week. Should be some of the best riding ever on this epic lake. First time heading there this late in the season :cool:

it'd be nice to have the option. yes I agree that it's a LOT to take on to pull someone solo. But there are times when my wife and I can't seem to find people to go out with us. it would be cool to at least have the option to say "well screw them" and go out just her and I. (actually, we have done that once and just rode dirty. Muhahahah)

I was hooked and had to have one!

Finally getting to contribute to this thread, and it's NOT a winterization pic. 69 degree air temp, 60 degree water temp. And it's finally stopped raining (for part of the day) Let's RIDE!!!

Hardly any boats at all. Love that. Front row parking at the launch too.

I started with a wakeboard set, and had a great time. Just getting my jumps in and enjoying a little air time.

Wife was happy to get in her surf set. not the smoothest water, but plenty good for a surf.

The last play weekend at the houseboat on Lake Powell with 70-75 air and 71 water. Sad to say we will be back down in a few weeks to winterize it and put her away till next season. It was good to get decent weather and play with the SC one last time. Here's a picture showing the 2900 pounds full and just how much the Supra dips in the water.

What made you choose to do wax and traction? I've never done wax, but wouldn't be a fan of the potential mess.

The same hesitation you have I had also, but there is zero mess with the Wax Drew's girls use and the feeling you get from being directly on the board vs on a traction pad is great.

I knew Drew was particular with his boat and junk being tracked in, and if he did not have an issue it must be good. When you finish a set it's no different than traction, there is nothing on your foot at all.

Sounds like it's worth a try. I'm not going to strip the traction off my board any time soon, but I like it in concept. Hell, I'd just be happy to have my foot FULLY recovered enough that I don't feel obligated to wear the stupid wake skate shoe on my rear foot for a tiny bit more "support".

Thanks it took a few years but we have it dialed now. Front with IBS full, rear 1/2 full of 1100's, 300lbs of lead, 22.5mph. If we want to slam it we fill the rears full and bump the speed to 24mph, its big boy land at that point.

Rode my Craz with 820's full in the rear, 500 mid and 500 IBS and it was legit. Took a lot to plain out but when it did... WATCH OUT! I now have 4 60 llbs of lead and will need it towards the front but it will be so nice. Just have to deal with winter now...

I guess I kinda take it for granted having water so close to me. the launch is 15 minutes from home; but on days like today, the drive home from work (15 mins) and the turn around time to change clothes and hitch up (20 to 30 mins) and the drive back to the launch just eats up too much daylight. It's literally 5 minutes from work to the launch, so it was easy enough to have the wife drive over from her office and our friends meet us there too.

As far as number of hours this year, I am not quite sure. my hour meter went kinda wonky last year after my batteries went dead one day. and it's been counting hours, but from this wierd display where there's a letter in the display. I should probably care more about the hours, but the exact number isn't that important to me. I know to change my oil periodically.

That said, today we hit the launch and it was ROUGH. wind was a consistent 8mph but it looked over 10. Strangely, the motor out wasn't rough at all. the wind was at our backs (rare to have an east wind) and when we got to our ride spot, it was totally smooth enough to wakeboard! I was stoked to go from whitecaps to smoothness in 15 minutes.

We brought a new friend along, and he had a fun little toy to add to the mix.

The drone worked well for my wakeboard set, and I wish I had more stamina!! However, once we sacked out the boat and it was listed, it didn't want to calibrate for my wife's surf set. But he took out the DJI Osmo so I'm sure that will look pretty cool.

Of course AFTER my wife's surf set, the drone finally calibrated and was able to take off. So he had a lot of fun with it while I was surfing.

No moomba pictures but the family did just spend the last week in Saint Marteen on a little fall vacation. Got some excellent shots of KLM 785 landing at the airport from the beach. Boeing 747-400 right above our heads.

My wife always drove Mercedes, but we had such odd mechanical problems with them I got to hate them- switched to Acura now. I do think Mercedes went through a period where quality slipped but have since got back on track.

Getting to the end of the month and still going strong! 80 air and 59 water. Didn't really need the drysuit but I've spoiled myself. Must say, loving the new Doomswell! Got some decent airs on it today and definitely prefer with only the 2 fins over the quad setup. I felt it was faster and actually let me boost a little more.

Thanks. I had fun planning the design. I requested it come from moomba with no logos on it. I rarely keep things looking how they are supposed to be from the factory, just not my taste. Me having a vinyl cutter is a dangerous thing! Lol

A little early but rock what you have! Sucks losing mine to old age, I gave up when it was 70 air and 60 water here in UT. Drysuit I was good down to 45 air/water and the first year in awhile I hung it up early.

Normally I have always worn wetsuits regardless of air temp down to 53 or so just to be out riding. The drysuit completely changed the game. It takes comfort to an entire new level. I have 2 buddies who now have them on order after trying mine. I decided my season will be over when I get a pic surfing while it is snowing. That day will officially be too cold haha. My goal is to ride on Thanksgiving holding a turkey leg. That would be epic!

Cheers DFTR Josh, not many Moombas that I know of in Victoria Australia so you're pretty safe I think!
Shame the support is not here in Melbourne but we'll have fun regardless, great boat imo.
The photo previous had the water temp at 54degF, couldn't convince the kids to get in so we just bummed around and soaked up the rays.
