Different market today than when we purchased our 2008 XLV... New 2008 (purchasd in 2010) for $41K american. Not sure what the USA market is like today, but in Canada, our boat would sell for around $38K canadian with 700 Hours on it now.

Boats has GIII ballast with factory bags, wake plate and cruise control. six kicker speakers and a new kenwood Head unit . this boat is in really good condition for a 2008 , plenty of storage and factory wakeboard racks. comes with matching 2008 boatmate trailer with very little hrs (240), cockpit and toneau cover plus a Z5 bimini and Moomba cruise plus a custom fit ghetto surf gate for regular side asking 38,000

Amazing how these are holding value considering they really don't throw a very good wake and are terrible surf boats.

I bought an 09' xlv in 2012 for 38k and it was fully loaded, z5, great stereo 150 hrs... the previous owner bought it brand new for 44k in 2010. I sold it in 2014 for $38500 with almost 350 hours..

I would never buy another one, could never get a good wake out of it.

Sad but true. Until people stop paying top dollar, people will get top dollar. But with a 30$ surf gate you can get a good wake out of them.

Waiting for boat market to crash again and get a steal on a new boat or gently used that isn't more than it was new.

I tend to disagree. the surf wake needs some weight and upgraded bags , add a gheeto or suck gate and its amazing.

wakeboard wake is not good under 20 mph , but awesome above that .

Best layout Moomba has to offer... but I am biased:rolleyes:

I tend to agree. I've been nothing but pleased with my wakeboard wake at 21.5mph. Granted I'm not the type that needs pro level wakes, but I've been happy.

And yes, the interior layout is by far the best of any boat of that era and even compared to most of the boats today.

I'm sure you can get something that works out of it. I tried lots of different bag configurations, biggest issue was side to side weight distribution. Never tried a suck-gate on it because that wasn't really a thing yet.

I think values will still stay hi as long as there is easy financing on new boats. New boat pricing will keep going up 10k/year (talking high end boats here not moomba) and soon you'll be able to get a 30 year loan and i'm sure people will think that's a good decision... Unfortunately I like to own my stuff so I can't seem to get myself to pull the trigger on a new one.

Anyway it is a beautiful boat for sale. Good luck.

None at the moment, been living in Houston for work the past 3 years, sold our boat when we moved here. Moving back to NC Jan 1. Got a place on Lake Norman. I'm in the market for a new one hence why I'm in this section.

Have to agree. Upgraded ballast and a suck gate work wonders for this boat! Even with stock ballast and a suck gate you can get a decent wave. I had almost no ballast up front so short but really tall wave.

Mine goes most of the way towards the back, and mostly submerged at rest.

Not really, just giving good reasons to buy an XLV! My brother-in-law has a 2015 Master Craft X30 surf machine. For about $82k less, the XLV with upgrade is about two inches away from the MC without being able to switch sides automatically. Not bad!
