have any of you guys changed the oil in your 2016 Moomba mondo with the 6.2 raptor? do I need a pump to suck the oil out or no? indmar says to use their 5w30 oil which is $10 a quart just wanted your input on that as well. TIA!

I just changed mine the other day. It drained with no issue. I replaced with the Motorcraft 5w30 oil. Auto parts store had the oil in 4.5qt jugs.

is it easy to change? never done it but I will Friday, do you have to have a pump to suck oil out or is there a drain tube that goes thru where the plug goes in the rear? I work at a ford dealership and they say the motorcraft 5w30 synthetic blend is same oil. did you use the inmar oil filter? Also how many quarts does it hold? some ppl say to add about a half quart more to what it holds for surfing since the bow of the boat will be up in the air most of the time when surfing. just wanna make sure this boat is taken care of right!!!!!

There is a drain line that goes thru the rear of the boat. It drains fine, just slow. I do have a pump that I used to suck the oil out just to speed up the process. I ran the drain line thru the transom, hooked my pump to it, then straight into the bucket it went. I used the Motorcraft Filter also, replaced it with the amount the manual called for.

the part number FL820S is what ford uses on the 6.2 in the trucks and that filter cost me 3 bucks and has the check valve in it as well. is this the filter you used?
