5 blade props

Does anyone have experience with 5 blade props performance benefits, or if they are better?

The more blades is more surface area which is good for quicker starts but slower speeds and more prop wash. I should have stayed with a three blade on my DD had I known then what I know now.

seems like there was a lot of press when they first started being discussed a few years ago and now it's crickets when you ask about them.
unless you are looking at some real specific reasonings, too many 4blades that have a proven track record to justify switching imo.

I've heard of people going to 5 then back to 4 and definitely right on about the 3 blade on a DD
