Instead of making folks dig through tons of threads and posts and tweaks and responses, let's have one thread where everyone who nails a surf setup can post the details with pics/vid, etc. Please include your year, model, ballast setup, speed, wake enhancers deployed, etc. If your wave is pretty good, don't post here. This is to help others if you have done the work and really nailed your setup. Thank you to everyone for your input! Surf's up.

2016 Mojo Surf Edition
Kids wave - video is of the 6 year old but I use the same settings for all three of them. They can surf all day on this wave.
900# port side locker (1100# bag but no way it is filling all the way up).
900# starboard side locker (1100# bag same as above).
375# under port seat - full
Center and bow both full
Wakeplate @ 25%
10.5 - 11.0 mph (depends on wind and other stuff I don't understand)
Surf tab @ 65%

https://www.facebook.com/diana.m.appleby/videos/10157034017075411/

For adults drop the surf tab to 45%-55% and wakeplate all the way up. Thank God no one is Goofy foot - the 8 year old tried when she was four but I stomped that right out. We did a demo of a Mojo and a Craz and we did not like the stock wave at all. Added the extra ballast and reinforced the engine panels before we even went out on our maiden voyage, July 4th weekend

2008 Outback DD

IBS full, 500 to 600 lbs.
1400lbs rear weight, evenly distributed, no surf side bias.
Full tank of gas.
Suck gate on top step, forward of the rear ballast vent thru hull.
This recipe =ropeless wih the DD. The key to this hull, fellas, is forward weight. We dont have much for rear hull displacement so get that front down! More push, longer pocket. Ill have pics and video to post later this month

2011 XLV, Acme 1617 prop, suck gate (teal mark), all factory ballast locations full with 1100s in the back and 1800 in the floor (blue outline), 565 lb sack under observer seat full (red outline), and 800 lbs of lead throughout the boat (green marks), we surf 11.2-11.7 usually although you can surf up to 12.5 mph. You can move the 565 lb behind the driver seat to surf goofy and have just as nice of a wave. We like the lead bags because you can fine tune the way much easier. The XLV hull is finicky especially in the front to back location of the weight 2471824719247202472124722

Is the rider actually surfing that far back in the 3rd pic? That's like 30+ ft behind the boat. It looks like wash back there but hard to tell from the pic. NICE wave!!

Very nice wave. I have the 2015, Mojo Surf Edition with 1,100's in the rear lockers. A few questions:
1) Why don't your port and starboard side locker bags fill 100%?
2) How do you fill the 375# bag under the port seat?
3) What's the brand and model of the 375# port seat bag? - where did you purchase the bag?
Thanks.
Paul

2005 outback DD w fixed wake plate. I'm running similar setup to Jordy Dag (thanks much for the info Jordy!) about 1500 in the rear and 600 in the nose. Wave has some push for sure. Using suck gate with 15 degrees of angle. Have built both a forward facing one and one that has the gate behind the suctions. Like the one with gate behind a little better. I'll try and get some pics of my wave next time out. Really happy with the results and ability to evenly weight the boat. For what it's worth I tried adding some weight to surf side and it didn't seem to make any difference so just running even weighting right now. If u can get used to weight in the nose it makes all the difference as Jordy pointed out.

We run our craz with 750 bow, 700 floor tank, 1100's in rear lockers and 600 on the floor in front of rear seat. That's roughly 4200# ballast. Port surf tab at 70% and starboard at 80%. wake plate and speed are dependant on crew size and surf or skim style wave, but usually between 10.8-11.5.

I bought my Craz in July. Just this last Saturday, I finally got my wave dialed where it will push me. I am 270 lbs. riding a 5'9" Broadcast. I upgraded rears to 1100's. Locker size will not allow for bags to completely stretch out and fill, but I would say probably close to 1000 lbs on each side. Stock center and bow sack full. Wake plate all the way up and starboard tab at 35%. At 10.5 mph I can ride all day. Just wish Saturday wasn't probably my last trip for the summer. By the way, that was also with only my wife driving and my 9 year-old in the boat.
